This stretch of no Rockets games has given me withdrawals, it's only been 5 days but it feels like it's been 1 month to me.
Do not consider @jordnnnn a hater, just does not like Russ. But we are all supportive Rockets fans and it would in our best interest to move towards more positive interaction instead of feeding the true haters and trolls.
Well, here is my 2 cents on tomorrow's game... Harden will have a super game especially if Atlanta doesn't double team him like the last game. He always has high scoring games against the Hawks. The only thing that could change that is the NBA Reffing team. Tomorrow we should see if we play against one or two teams. Westbrook not playing should be okay as long as we have EG starting in his place. After a few games under his belt, EG is prime to have a great game. I think that will happen against the Hawks. As for Westbrook, the OKC game the next night should feel like a home game to him, so I expect he will play well on Thursday. Hopefully we will have a positive outcome with that game. My only concern tomorrow will be the rest of the Rockets against the Hawks. Hopefully they do not take Atlanta for granted. One more thing, we must win the Hawks game. Tomorrow's big game for us is the Denver vrs. Dallas. One must lose, so a change will be forthcoming in the standings...hopefully one that could benefit us greatly. We could move up to 2nd in the West. JM2C
If Nugs lose they fall from 2nd to 4th. Mavs win or lose will keep them at 6th. Nuggets should be more motivated.
This is why nobody should take Westbrook haters seriously. The team improves, the only major minutes change in our rotation was CP3 out, Westbrook in. Yet somehow, those ideas are completely unrelated. If someone is using stats to justify Westbrook being bad, but then ignores team rating, it should be instantly obvious that they’re either biased, or stupid.
wow, just checking in to this thread since page 2 a couple of days ago. HATERS SURE HAVE BEEN BUSY. Upping their game for sure, with all this pre-game hate now that it's the new year. Bodes well for the second half of the season as we get closer and closer to the playoffs. I for one am glad we have the haters ON OUR SIDE.
NBA is so r****ded why not give them 5 day break during the holiday?!?!?!?!? NBA ain't going to cool the Rockets. With, or without Trae Young, blowout. With, or without Brodie, blowout. With, or without D'Antoni, blowout. Hawks are prime suspect for tanking for draft picks, so don't expect much from these tankers.
Regarding upcoming b2b's. Players have travels which can be tough on bodies. That said, they're professionals. With perspective, those of us regular folks, who all work a 8am - 5pm regular work week, I guess we all do back to backs (5x).
That wasn't the only minutes change though. FFS Melo was playing 30+ minutes Ennis, MCW, Green and Melo were all getting major minutes and Harden missed a couple games. Not to mention, Harden was only taking like 17 shots a game. It wasn't until we got rid of all the trash and Harden started taking 25+ shots a game that we became good again. None of that nonsense happened this year. Stop living in fairy land where Russel Westbrook is actually good, he isn't.
Houston @ Atlanta Ben Taylor (#46) Mark Lindsay (#29) Ray Acosta (#54) taylor has been the most rockets-friendly ref in the past (of course the one time silver sends him is when we play the team w/ worst record in the league -- he'll never get sent when we play the fakers lol)
I'd stay away from this game. We humiliated them in Houston and Harden is by himself. If they trap Harden and EGO has a cold shooting night it could be a loss. I don't think the Rox cover but they still win
