Yes they are one dimensional. But they are also far easier to obtain and find than a multi-faceted shooter like Dekker.

There have been several games recently where the Rockets just could not buy a 3. I would have loved to have a dead eye pure specialist in those games to buy a few threes. Some times having those 3s can kill opposing momentum and may even be the catalyst for the rest of the team catching fire.

Besides, we field Ryan Anderson every night and he's pretty one dimensional as well. I consider him a pure shooter. But guys like Troy Daniels, Korver and Steve Novak (seriously) would be great to have to alleviate off nights

Lol exactly. Rockets wouldn't fire an offensive coordinator to make Anderson work out.

Free throws on attempted shots. He got those shots, just got fouled.

The Grizzlies PA announcer sounds a lot like the old Rockets announcer before Matt Thomas got back in it. Same guy?

The Rockets already had a home-and-home B2B this season. Clippers and Knicks.

Ah, you're right. But that was NYE. I think they had to get special permission for it. I think that's the only time it happens. Never happened for the 10yrs or so I was a STH. Teams don't like to do it, because it generates no-shows when you make them go two days in a row.

Maybe @Dave2000 can chime in, if it's happened more.

Another one coming up the first week of February. Hawks/Bulls.

Yeah H-H.... the first time since 2011, IIRC and we have 2 this season. Ridiculous.

Yeah, 2011 was due to the lockout's compressed season. All teams had them that year.

I'm pretty sure they didn't originally schedule us for Dec 31st, but we asked for the NYE one, because Les always like NYE. But wow, didn't know the Feb 2, 3rd H-H.

Now that I think about it, that might be due to Yao Ming's retirement ceremony. I recall a STH saying they had to change a date due to expected delay in half-time, or something about TV coverage.

Makes me wonder when it happened before '11.

Rockets are currently in a stretch where they don't have consecutive off-days for a month.

After the turbulence, we're still on pace to win 32 at home and 28 on the road. We are still on pace to be a 60 win team and the best regular season team we've ever had. It's amazing how all this winning has changed the feeling on here. We're the best we've been, but you wouldn't know it lately. Myself included. It's just weird how getting your ass handed to you can break your mojo. We have played 8 in 12 nights and this was 4 in 5 nights just now. We survived the gauntlet. Now what will we do?

I just noticed... Dekker got all those points without taking a FT.

Those dudes have off nights too and it's not a guarantee that they would've been on when our other shooters are off.

Two way offensive players are always important than a one dimensional player.

I also understand our main offensive philosophy. But when those three's are not falling, they need to take more closer shots. Two points is better than 0.

Great win tonight. The defensive effort was 100 times better than it was against the Warriors. The offense was so much smoother. And what a game by Triple Dekker.

We had back to back home games in December. Not sure if y'all are talking about playing the same team.
