Hayes has been called the new (Dennis) Rodman in Chinese media. I personally disagree because his hair is not dyed.
Chuck Hayes our defensive and rebounding specialist, I can't wait to see him teamed up with Yao in the paint, he may be the guy we thought SS was to get Yao's back.
However, he can play offense too, he is a much better version of Ryan Bowen.... I wonder if he can play SF and Tmac play the 2? DD
Possibly, but then the Rockets lose some backcourt range. Assuming Alston is running PG, then the only other perimeter threat you have is T-Mac. We still need Wesley/Head in there. But then we could dominate on the boards/inside scoring, with a Yao/Juwan/Hayes front court combo. I wouldn't be surprised to see JVG try that one out for size sometime.
His defense and rebounding I've seen but haven't seen him take a jump shot or dunk the ball. If he doesn't have a perimeter game, I don't see him at the 3. Anybody know if he has a jump shot?
Word is he's got a major hitch in his shot. He isn't the best free throw shooter on the team for sure. Still, if we need a jump-shooting PF in the game, we have that Howard fellow. It's not like Swift has a reliable jumper, either. A reliable anything, really.
Such an awesome game. While watching, i noticed the pace picked up quite a bit, and everyone seemed a step faster than usual. Having those young legs running like hell is a great change to see. The pace is definetly something I could get used to seeing more.
Bill and Matt didn't even mention it, so I son't think it will be in the highlights. Thanks for the highlights though, R2K
It was on the Sportscenter highlights. They showed Rafer handing the ref a dollar bill, and then they showed that Redd fast break where he though the was fouled but didn't get the call and joked about whether the bribe paid off.
