Wow, has anyone noticed that this year is basically a flip flop of 2009 Rockets Blazers?

    2009
    - Blazers 54-28 VS Rockets 53 - 29
    - Blazers had home court in Playoffs
    - Blazers lost homecourt and went down 3-1 going into game 5
    - Blazers take game 5 @ Portland making it 3-2
    - Blazers lost game 6 in Houston
    - Houston ends long drought 12 Years without playoff series win

    2014
    - Rockets 54-28 VS Blazers 54-28
    - Rockets have home court in Playoffs
    - Rockets lose homecourt and went go 3-1 going into game 5
    - Rockets Take game 5 @ Houston making it 3-2
    - Hopefully Rocket do not lose game 6 in Portland
    - IF Blazers win, ends long drought 14 years without playoff series win.

I sure hope this is not a sign of things to come, basically the same result only flip flopping teams.

This is what I expect to see. Game 6 feels like a Blazers blowout win.

Coincidences - teams were completely different 5 years ago.

What's more interesting is Rockets playoff record under McHale:

    2014 LLWLW
    2013 LLLWWL

They can't blow us out. Just like we can't blow them out.

It looks like that, but if either team gets a lucky streak of 3's, anything can happen...

I honestly think this is a coin flip. Anything could happen. Anyone's guess is as good as anyone elses.

That's the problem, if it is going to be a coin flip like most of the games have been, the biggest factor that could swing it one way or the other is going to be the refs.

I think we can, just will depend on that guy with the Beard.

It would pretty much end the series if Harden drops 40 in game 6 and leads the rockets to a convincing win. It would be a shock to their system.

Beard has just lulled them to sleep, he's been waiting all this time...

Need to make Blazers know this is not Harden's game only. They focused on him and gor the reward. Early 3 and easy 2 by PB, get TJ involved for some points, driving by Parsons and Lin to get some early calls on their bigs, Howard delivering as usual......then Blazers will question their game plan and feel pressure to win at home. And then, Harden will be free and get some space to close out the game finally. Some Daniels 3s will be welcomed also.

Need to build a sizable lead in the first half. We're not great at playing from behind. And, call me a conspiracy nut but refs love making horrible calls in the 4th Q.

what would be the best ideal team for refs, it seems most of the best refs are doing other games in the eastern conference playoffs.

We have to take the refs out of the game - by building a reasonable lead and holding on to it - make it so that if the refs pull any shenanigans, it's totally obvious

This game is it. We win tomorrow, and the series is ours.
