If we want to beat the Lakers, we need to take care of Portland as quick and easy as possible, while hoping Utah can win their home games.

The Blazers are already committed, per McMillan, to doubling Yao at a minimum, and/or fronting Yao.

How the Rockets solve this is the Key to the Game (and series).

Blazers will front Yao and make adjustments to get Aldridge more baskets.

Rockets will keep it competitive but lose: 89 - 84 Blazers.

    ... I am such a pessimist.

I think the key to winning this game will be offensive ball movement. The Blazers are not good at defensive rotation as we saw by all our open looks, ie Scola for wide-open mid-range jumpers.
Doubtful we will be as hot shooting the ball and them as cold, but if we play good d and move the ball of offense, I think we can get another double digit win.

I can't wait for this game. I'm eager to see how the Rockets respond to the fronting/double team defense.

Wonder if the Blazers will try a different approach:

Scribble Grizzlies over the Blazers in their unis.

Thank GOD you only play good teams in the postseason.

The Rockets have a history of playing down to the level of their competition, of slaking off, letting up, getting casual. If they do that, they are toast. The Rockets MUST come out with even MORE FIRE than they had in the first game. They must overwhelm, shut down, and suffocate the Blazers with ferocious defense AND shoot 45 to 50%. Then they might be able to close it out in Houston. IF they give the Blazers new found confidence they will live to regret it. Mark it down.

    Game 1 was amazing!

But between the Blazers adjustments and the Rockets shooting percentage coming down a bit, we shot at 58.5% as a team in game one (si), game two should be tougher.

A lot of the predictions you guys are posting are spot on: 90 -83, 91-86, 89-84.

I don't care how they defend Yao, he should get his 20 points, 10 rebounds.

Just got to say; MUTOMBO, the old man on the mountain was ^&$%@ awesome!!

    Keys to a sweep:

Ron keeps driving through the lane and shooting inside 3 point range.

    Battier stays aggressive.

Expect a very difficult game. But I see the Rockets taking this one also. They were too good in Game 1. I see them carry the same momentum into the next game.I would also expect the bench to show up for this game especially Landry and Wafer

    2-0 two more to go.

    Rockets 93 Blazers 89

Tougher game I believe the blazers will come out and try and get into YAO and AB early to slow them down.

    Bleed Red.... Rockets Red.

if we win this game, the series is over. unlike that dallas series or utah, this team just doesn't have that experience like those teams have to be able to show they can come back.

let's come out strong again. hopefully brooks can play like a star again :p
