I don't see this game getting above 100 points on either side. Parsons will contain wallace just fine. The only guy we need to double is Aldridge. Double him every time he gets the ball. Make someone else beat us. I'd rather lose by some guy having a good game then have Aldridge throw up 50 on us. That being said, I think we can win this game by a small margin. Ill say rockets 92 Portland 89. Bud has 25 pts and Martin has 30

Wow, one mention of Roy in this thread and it's by a guy who thinks he's still in the league. Remember when we were mad we didn't get Roy after Portland sabotaged Morey's plan.

Even Morey's fails reek of win. No one knew this would happen to Roy.

Wallace and Aldridge are going to destroy us. Hopefully we can get a big game from Lowry and Martin to offset it.

I think we will lose this one. We have to get rebounds from our frontcourt tonight or we won't have a shot. We also need to take the crowd out of the game early. If we do those things, we could win. This is a HUGE game.

3 years ago it was Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks and Ron Artest vs Brandon Roy and the Blazers

now its Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin and Luis Scola vs Lamarcus Aldridge and the Blazers...damn

That's probably the wrong defensive strategy. Aldridge is a willing passer, so if you double him he'll just find the open man and his team will soon get in a rhythm. His support cast may not be all that great, but they are solid and will take advantage of open looks and lanes. If you let someone like Jamal Crawford get comfortable it's lights out. And Aldridge has had no problem with double teams all season, he's going to score no matter what. We just have to make sure he's the only one with a big game.

    keys to the game

    -make it an ugly game.
we all know about refs blowing it last game. their team is on an emotional seesaw right now. if this becomes a grind-it-out affair like the denver game where the refs dictate the tempo of the game, then there's bound to be missed calls that could push the blazers into a funk and keep the crowd out of the game.

    -sam on LMA
barring foul troubles, dally should be the primary cover on LMA all night. tell him that his only job tonight is to guard the stellar big man. say that LMA ragged on his mama. say that if he does a good job, he can go out with dikembe tonight around the town.

    -don't shoot so many threes.
threes are risky. if you make them its great. we are not a great 3point shooting team. also, if you miss then it often leads to opposing fast breaks.
force the action in the paint. the blazers are not very deep in their front court, especially with camby questionable healthwise.

    Go Rox!

I thought so when I saw that comment about Oden. I wanted to post it anyways.

The Rockets move forward by not acquiring Roy. The only recent draft blunder is Gay, and that's debatable.

Portland's wins at home are by an average of like 18points. After that fiasco with the refs on Monday, I expect them to blow Houston out.

Batum went off on us last time while Aldridge had a rare bad game.

Yeah they released a statement. Don't think they really apologized, just admitted it was the wrong call. Martin was on fire before the last 2 games, he needs to snap out of it.

I predict an ass-kicking by the Blazers.
