Back to back away games suck

 

Good news is we cannot start any worse by giving up more than 42 points in the 1st quarter. Only one way to go but up.

 

This one will be tough. Please win. Tonight was saddening.

 

Unfortunately the Blazers seem to always play good against us.

Batum can't wait, probably having problems sleeping because he knows he's going to have a big game once he sees those Rocket jerseys...

These uys haven't since Saturday when they owned the Spurs so this might be another blowout if our defense dosent improve. Lillard is a top 5 PG and Aldridge is a monster. Wesley Matthews is having a good start to the season while Batum, Lopez and Mo Williams are giving them a big spark.


If Harden has any pride, he'll be fired up after putting forth one of the worst defensive efforts I've ever seen.

 

Spiegal, I can't help but be in agreeance with most of your posts tonight. : )

Was just about to say, after watching the Blazers beat the Spurs with a barrage of shooting (especially from the midrange) I'm kind of nervous for tomorrow. Portland can shoot from afar and force the TT out of the paint. We can't afford to slip up on defense again or risk a similar ending like tonight's game.

 

This is more than just a one season thing. Portland always plays us tough for whatever reason.

 

Few of my earlier posts in the heat of the moment were kinda were out there considering watching that train wreck takes an emotional toll, but I think Blazers frontline is very well suited to exploiting our weakneses. LMA while not the athletic freak Griffin is, he can take Howard off the dribble a lot like griffin did and cause him into foul trouble or stepout and hit the jumper a lot like Griffin hit a few tonight.


Howard hasn't shown yet that he can stepout and defend the bigs who can be a double threat in the paint and in the mid-range.Matthews has traditionally guarded Harden exceptionally well as he is big and still has great defensive awareness and like Reddick he can move off the ball and shoot really well.


Batum is another guy who has killed us with his length and 3pt shooting.As for Lillard, the guy is on the verge of superstardom and Mo Williams gives them a great lease of life like Crawford does in Clipper land.

 

Casspi will suck. Lin is going to be passive. 3-2.

I would be very happy going 3-1 on a 4 in 5 road trip.

 

Rose Paul Curry Parker Westbrook all significantly better than Lilliard. I doubt this will be a blow out. Our guys will come to redeem themselves.

 

Because this has nothing to do with how well Harden and Howard do, right?

 

Lets see how they respond to a loss.
