Let's face it. Lin played just about a perfect game tonight. Let's say 1-2 unnecessary TOs and a worrying 0 assists, but other than that a very good game from him. His field goal attempts were in control and he converted. If he can continue to keep this up, the Rockets are going to look very good in the end.

 

Parsons is lucky he obviously got his moms looks and body shape. Clydes jab at Parsons fathers weight was pretty low.

 

People are being too tough on Harden. I was proud of him today.

 

It's called unrealistic expectations and angry lin fans.

He dished out some good assists that ended up sending Asik to the line, so I'd say he is still doing decently at getting his teammates involved, albeit sometimes he ends up forcing passes in the paint, leading to TOs.

 

My observation is that last night Lin played like a SG. More often than not, he dribbled the ball up and threw it over to Harden. He then would wait for the ball sometimes getting back to him and he either shot it or drove it to the hole.

So I don't see 0 assist in one game is a problem. Turnover, however, is consistently little high and I hope he can cut it a little bit.

Great game from Lin. Let's enjoy it.

 

If his teammates were shooting well I would expect more in assists, but we needed his scoring tonight and he delivered.

yeah. It's too high for my liking, aggressive or not. Lin's gotta do better on that whether or not he is confused about his role on this team. It's obvious that when he plays with the starters, he's like the 5th wheel and barely gets to touch the ball. More games like this and maybe Mac will give him some more touches.

 

Lin had 2 assists. They were credited to Casspi. Just like last season assists were credited to Delfino. I have no idea how one confuses Lin for either of those guys, but it sucks for Lin.

 

TOs overrated.

I'd take 5 TOs (with 2 steals and a block) on 10-17 shooting for 31 any time

 

Has Lin over taken Harden for most turnovers in the league this season? Feels like he's been way higher than last year. Anyone got the TO stats on Harden and Lin?

 

Harden 36 TOs, 4.5 TO/game
Lin 28 TOs, 3.5 TO/game

 

31 points on 17 shots.

I do too, but if I'm giving him a very high score on his effort, TOs need to be mentioned as well.

 

You wouldn't say this if we lost.

The double-double is good, but Harden still needs to work on his shot selection. The game-ending ISO miss almost costed us the game.

Looks like Harden has a bigger turn over problem than Lin again.

I hope Harden really works on his turn overs. I don't think it's a jumping in the air problem like Lin, more of a handles problem, I saw Harden lose the handle on the ball quite a lot the last few games and also stupid passes.
