ClutchFans Game Thread: Raptors @ Rockets 11/11/2013

Dominated them in the first half when the offense was centered on our center. Things got close when the offense changed.

 

I turned it off after Gay made the three and sent into the second overtime. I just couldn't take it any more. Houston sports is a curse. Why oh why did I grow up in the Houston area? I deserved better. How about LA or NY or Miami, Baltimore, Green Bay, Pittsburg……No I hate those places. Well O.K., it is what it is and here is what it is:

1. Lin in full "Manu" mode tonight: a little taste of Linsanity. Nice.

2. Terrence Jones is in the house. I start him next game, he earned it.

3. Howard is an amazing athlete, likely one of the best in the world and has no, zero, nada, killer instinct. Absolutely none. And he shoots free throws like my grandmother.

4. Beverly must still be injured; he had a horrible night.

5. Asik has one foot out the door and the other on a banana peel.

6. Parsons is not elite, but he is money. He grinds it out, and before you notice, he has a basket full of points.

7. I miss Garcia, and Caspi the friendly ghost has turned into a pumpkin.

 

keep lin off bench as sixth man. i think he is really taking to it now. and yes give mchale credit for sticking with him. I woulda pulled him in OT and put bev back in for defense. embrace the 6th man jeremy....

 

Coming off the bench seems to suit Jeremy Lin. He's having a great year.

 

Derozan and Gay were a combined 17 of 62!

 

IDK about you guys but this is the first game I've seen the pick and roll between Jlin and Harden. It used to be so effective last year.

 

i will thank him if I'm Lin because he brought out the best of him!

 

Lin, what an amazing game, you've changed bro! That left hand is great!

That's vintage Lowry--he won't let his team lose.

Our beloved bulldog Lowry--so you guys got to see why Rockets fans loved him so and were sad to see both him and Dragic go.

Well tonight he actually gave him more than 31 min of pt. that and Bev had two quick early fouls.

Props to Lin. Never gives up takes the **** stick from everone and just goes out leads and let's his play do the talking.

 

Can't please everybody I guess :grin:

Maybe the secret is this: Make Harden the PG and Lin the SG, lol.

 

WOW. Ugly games. Saying Rockets is one of the best team in the west is laughable.

 

Harden won this for us with his all around game. Nice to see him play lock down D.

Lin scored well but his 3pt shot still looks iffy.
Lin nearly lost us the game in the 3rd with silly plays. He had 0 assists which is worrying.

Dwight did an awesome job blocking and rebounding but his FTs still worry me.

 

Every time the rockets needed a big shot, Lin made it! Great game!
