Westbrook at least helps by giving us another guy that can go and get his own. Clint's rebound and vertical spacing are nice, but both of those tend to be neutralized against physical bigs in the playoffs. With the amount of money he's making, it makes Clint expendable.

You mean the Russ who made the game sealing rebound and kick to D House? I’m starting to wonder if y’all care about winning or James Harden stats? Smh

KD said it best “ all that spacing and ball movement is cool, but in the playoffs you need guys who can just get a bucket”

Exactly. And Clint just didn't do that. Looking that the conference finals last year, all four teams had centers that could space the floor. Long term, we need that player.

I feel that but I was also talking about people say Russ doesn’t make the game easy for Harden, without Russ on the floor the traps takes Harden out the game. That’s why Mike brought Russ right back in when we couldn’t get a bucket in the 4th.

Agreed. Russ doesn't make things hard for Harden at all. He makes it easier.

2018 CP3 is clearly better than Westbrook. I’m a huge fan of the Westbrook trade and even I can acknowledge that. Come on now.

Westbrook and Clint on the floor clearly makes life difficult for Harden. It’s so damn obvious too.

Two guys that can only make layups. o_O

Yup agree as long as he isn't enamored with the long jumpers and only takes 1/2 3 pointers a game he is super man !! Russ was off in the doesn’t half but adjusted in the 2nd half and was very solid !!

we could probably invent narratives to explain, but I'm pretty sure MDA and the team discussed the need to keep turnovers low, if they are going to lose the rebound battle against Dallas and NOLA.

so, any narrative (like 5out spacing helping JH/WB) should probably include a Team Directive to Fockass on ball control.

Well, as Donkey said, they have won without Durant too.

Hmm....when you say narrative, do you think the spacing is overblown in terms of helping Harden and Westbrook, not trying to argue but I genuinely wanna know what you think.

Harden looked so lean and skinny next to Zion.

Id agree for the most part Clint hasn't been playing that well this year. I think he's capable of playing in almost any D . When he's right he's that good. Offensively , if our D is good enough we will be in transition or flow enough and Clint can use his speed and athleticism.

Russ and James both have had perfectly fine , excellent games as recently as december while playing with Clint. I say december because James was slumping in Jan.

With a 5 of Harden, russ, eric or mac, PJ, and clint .. you have 2 good shooters and if you leave russ open on the perimeter he's too explosive with the ball to contain.

But here's another level of thinking . If russ has the ball then james is also available as a shooter.

The switch everything style is not bad , but it shouldnt be used 100 percent of the time.

Giving up so many rebounds to NOP isnt great. It worked out for us this afternoon, but just because it worked out doesnt mean that we dont need to shore up that facet of our defense. Not every team we play agasint will turn it over that much. we got maybe 3-5 turnovers from the post and confusion. They had 21. They are one of the league's worst teams in terms of TO's.
