OK, so I clicked the link you provided to see what he says, and wow, you are exactly right, this writer is really a homer. J. Holiday has some good assists, but he is 1-9, 3 pts, +/- -12 while Lin 3-12, 10 pts, +/- +7.

OK, non-factor, overrated, or whatever, I will take a win against your J. Holiday tonight.

His shot was good overall. Much more alarming is Harden's season long drought of Three's. How he dropped from a .380 in his career to just a tick above .300 this year is just ugly.

Tmac was the same. McGrady could get t the rim at will but he settled for the 3's or the midrange shots to much. Granted Tmac had one of the best midrange shots in the entire NBA in his prime.

    Rockets are deep!

Man I wished Asik bought in. LMA, Dirk, ZBo, etc have problems when he guards them.

Big worry is that he's getting worn down... another 40 min tonight. Tiredness leads to more injuries. If the bench gets bolstered, it may alleviate some of his minutes.

Uh he scored 11 in the fourth when we needed it. He has been killing it at the end of games recently

Rush Hour back court in full effect for the fourth quarter. Way to keep fighting!

Harden goes to the basket MUCH more often than T-Mac did in his years with the Rockets. Harden is second in the league in free throw attempts! Did you watch the Grizzlies game? Harden scored nearly all of his points by driving to the basket and getting fouled!

I hope Harden's 3pt percentage improves too, but you can't really accuse him of not attacking the basket.

A lot of coaches say the same thing. Lin and Parsons are the guys that make the Rockets tough (in addition to Howard and Harden).

The Pelicans were a team they should have blown out in 3 quarters, rested the starters and bring out Ronnie Brewer the victory cigar in the 4th quarter. Our team the way it is, is really struggling, Morey needs to make a move soon.

Takes away all the BS of Harden not being clutch. He may not hit a game-tying or winning shot that often, but he hits big 4Q shots quite often.

PnR defense is about TEAM defense, obviously if you get picked your at a huge disadvantage so the help defender has to show hard so Lin can recover. But Lin has been covering rather quickly to his credit and not letting opposing PGs drive so easy.

As for Lins shooting, it's been off early and he just needs to keep shooting, not many PGs or shooting guards stay at 50% FG% to his credit he's been very consistant and everyone has off nights but I'll take bad starts and strong meaningful finishes any day if the week. He has that IT factor that can't be denied. Has the tendency to hit the big shot when needed. Always been big in the 4th qtr.

I don't know when I'm going to (if ever) get over this Asik situation. I really liked what he did for this team last year. And to have it turn into what it is now...

I'm not talking about his overall game, but he has moments where he decides to take the easy option. He is 2 of 12 from the 3pt line in the last two games. He was much more ggressivein the last few minutes and once he hit that massive 3 to put us up of Chandlers pass he started attacking the rim more.

Poor D-mo just when he was about to get playing time.

Our bench is definitely weak right now.

It's great that Harden can hit big shots down the stretch (honestly, not being sarcastic) -- but we find ourselves in that predicament all too often. NOP should have been put away WAY sooner so the starters could rest for tomorrow. It's cool to pull off the down-to-the-wire victories, but it would be great if we could manage to start pulling away a lot sooner, esp. against inferior teams.

Asik is not going to be a huge part of anything going forward and the team is resigned to that fact. Even if he comes back which is looking doubtfull,he'll be gone in a month or so so if you are betting on him being a difference maker then don't.
