Pelicans have the youngest team in NBA this year, at average age 24.7. (Rockets were 24.1 last year). Mentioned by many as a team with potential to improve a lot this year.

Their coach, Monty Williams, has been emphasizing physical defense during training camp: "in my opinion, you have to let teams know right away from the start of the game, whether it's a hard foul or taking a charge, it's going to be a tough night physically"

Rockets had trouble with them last year - although, granted, a LOT has changed since then. Jrue Holiday should be a good test for our PGs.

 

Jrue is scared of Dwight.

 

Who's gonna be there?! I never go to preseason games, but going to check this out.

 

Holiday is overrated

 

I'm so thrilled to finally be watching Rockets basketball again! And this is the most exciting season in many years!

 

I have a good feeling Terrance Jones is about to have a great game tonight.

Can somebody tell me if NBA League pass shows preseason games?

 

McHale said in yesterday's interview he would try to give the starters 3 runs of 6 to 8 minutes.

 

This season is gonna be Tjones breakout party

 

Still miles better than Lin will ever be.

 

If we lose then I think we should just give up, go into full-on tank mode and hope we land Wiggins

 

UnLuckily for you, Lin has already been better than Holiday has ever been.

 

Made the mistake of buying tickets from Stubhub that I have to pick up in person... Oh well, they were $7/each. I can't wait.

 

I haven't been this excited about a preseason game in a while.

On paper our team is shaping up to be possibly pretty nasty.

I am biased homer.

But I am going to go ahead and say that barring injuries we will #1 seed and we challenge the bulls win record 72 wins record. Asik is going to be huge for us and while we have him would should crush 2nd units as much as 1st units.

I haven't been this high on a team in a long time.

Tonight will be telling though in many ways. I want to just see general flow of how it looks with dwight and harden out there. We havent seen that yet and ultimately thats our 2 stars. I just want to see even from glimpse point of view 1st impressons etc.. what my first reaction is.

Bearing in mind it took a bit (like 15- 20 games)for drexler and olajuwon to get on same page.

I know there will be some controversy when we lose some games, but we need to just overpower that and squash it. We are simply too good for that in the sense of the nasty team we have. I just dont see howard and harden being the type to argue.. separately with so many weapons we are just that good.
