A couple times during the game AB did some nice moves and scored. At a break in the action as the teams went to the benches the cameras focused on (first) Yao and (later in the game) Alston with an arm around Brooks talking seriously about something - I'm guessing his plays. It didn't look like they were upset with him, but it also didn't look like they were giving him props. Anyone have any ideas on what Yao or Alston were telling him? I'm pleased with how he's been playing. If he can get some more D to go with his O he'd be REALLY nice. Also needs to mix in some more assists. I'm starting to like the Alston/Brooks lineup. -Humer
I have no insider information, but I would imagine they were telling him, if this happens let's do this. Trying to give him ideas so that he could flow with the players on the court. At one point in the fourth they showed Yao talking to AB, then Adelman talking to AB, then Yao talking to him again. In the next time out he was talking to Coach Dunn then Rafer. He's learning to play with them on the fly because he probably hasn't gotten to work with the first string too much in practice since the beginning of the season. That would be my opinion rather than fact, but I can't see that they were chastising him but only giving ideas and advice.
That's kinda what I was guessing. Didn't seem like they were getting on him. I really like that they seemed to have that good mentoring going so they can continue to get better with the kid.
