caramelo Melo scored 45 last time against the Rockets, and Rockets won easily, despite the final score. For Melo to realistically be able to will the Knicks to victory, I think he'd have to score close to 60 points, dish out 8 to 10 assists to keep his teammates in the ballgame, grab 7-10 rebounds, and play at least 46 minutes.
The battle for the king of heroball: Melo Vs Harden My bet is on Harden since he get every shot. Melo is weak, he is sharing the ball.
Melo vs Harden chuckfest. Rockets lose. New York media proclaims victory over Lin and how getting rid of him was totally worth it.
+1 A win would be great, but a loss would not surprise me at all. ETA: Nice to know Asik is actually in town, I guess....
Melo is going to foul Dwight when he takes a three pointer with 5.6 on the clock. Dock it now. 101 - 99 win, Rockets.
4 point play In your scenario, Dwight makes the three, anyway, of course, setting up a 4 point play. Howard's three point stroke has looked really good this season. Isn't he shooting 100% from three?
Okay, maybe it wasn't quite that easy. But, from about the middle of the third quarter on, the Rockets pretty much took control of the game, never losing the lead again. And with 3:31 left in the fourth, the Rockets took a commanding 9 point lead. The Knicks then had to fight to make it close, which they did, but it was just too hard to come back from 9 down so late in the game.
Wow, I don't remember that. Another reason why I can't stand IsoMelo Anthony. I really like Greg Smith as a player, and the Rockets could have really used him against Sacramento.
Can we please jump on them like a bunch of spider monkeys and put this one away in the first half? Seriously, why should we even let the Knicks think they have a chance?
The Knicks have been really, really bad this year. The Rockets would need to really under perform and the Knicks would have to shoot lights out to win this. And even if they're shooting well, there's always the real possibility that Melo shoots them out of the game anyway. The Knicks is one of those rare teams where even if you win, you're not sure if it's because you played well, or you didn't suck enough to lose.
