ClutchFans Game Thread: Kings @ Rockets 12/14/2016

A trap game? This can't be a trap game because the Rockets SHOULD be able to see the trap.

They played the trap game against the Nets and almost lost. Judging from the post game comments, the team knows they almost blew that game. Considering that, it wouldn't speak too well of the team to follow up that performance with another performance like that no matter the competition.

This game needs to go the way of that Lakers game, a thorough thrashing!

 

Hopefully the Rockets dominate early and Harden can rest in the 4th like he did against the Lakers. It's too bad the D-Mo situation is still unresolved. He might've had a shot at some good minutes tonight.

 

There are levels to the knowledge.

1. It's one thing to know something only in theory, to be conscious of something,

2. And it's completely different thing when that knowledge is ingrained and embedded by repetition and you have it as an unconscious habit.

Rockets still don't have it as a habit to play the same whatever the scoreboard, if they get 10 -15 point lead you can bet on it they gonna soon relax, play lackadaisical and get the lead drastically reduced within minutes regardless of the strength of the opponent. That's why more or less every rockets game is a trap.

 

I'm just worried about the teams that actually have figured out how to stop the 3, like say Cleveland for example. I'm not sure regular season teams are capable of that kind of focus. But come playoff time it's gonna be a lot harder.

 

i think this is a win, but for the love of God, no one get hurt!

 

Cousins resting is actually a good sign; they wouldn't have done that if we were a just some mediocre team that the SAC felt they could beat with Cousins alone. They are currently 9th in the West struggling to make playoffs - so every game matters to them - and there's no way they throw games like this if they genuinely didn't think we were unbeatable w/o Rudy Gay. It's an acknowledgement of our team's strength and elite status.

 

i know it's unlikely, but i really hope some trade action goes down tomorrow. would be awesome if there was a deal in the works and that's why boogie is resting.

Looking forward for Splash Gordon to continue to be aggressive. He's doing a wonderful job and I have a feeling is just coming out of his shell to be doing even greater things for us, God bless his heart and keep him healthy.

 

If we have a huge lead, take the starters out during the 4th and let our rookies play. I honestly wish for the Dmo saga to be over, if he rejoins our team he needs all the garbage time he can get to be back into playing shape.
