The Rockets are improving especially on defense. CHAR came in as the 5th best offense in the NBA & were held to 95pts, 35% FG & 29% 3FG

Great getting the win, but not a good game.

Hornets missing their best player (at worst, 2nd best) and we were losing with under 2 min remaining....

Glad to get the win though

They could have lost by 20 as well. Charlotte had a lot of open looks and miss. Rockets defense was enough and James got his.

NBA Refs need to stop killing basketball games,thats for damn sure tho.

 

Anyone see the halftime show? Clutch was just clowning on the Miss Universe fiasco

 

Charlotte shot 34%, they're normally at 44%. If they had had even a semblance of their normal shooting, we'd have lost by quite a bit I think.

 

This game was a pretty win to me

We almost threw it away on multiple occasions. We should have blown them about by 30 if it wasn't for 3 key things that where destroying us.

Turnovers (The age old problem for the Rockets, dumb passes, loose handles and butter fingers all game long)

Stupid fouls (I especially lost it when Howard fouled Lin, but it was a big problem the throughout the whole game gifting the opponents free throws)

Missed free throws (WTF, when will this team quit missing)

Those where absolutely killing us all game, its so foolish of this team to shoot them selves in the foot over and over and over with simple easily fixable mistakes.

Outside of that excellent play on defense throughout most of the game, scored well and effeciently. Harden went off, Jones was awesome, Thornton continues to quietly be one of our best players he's become a legetimate role player that deserves big minutes, and Dmo with some nice passing.

 

Think that was the interlude between the 1st and 2nd quarter, or a time out show. It was pretty weird but kind of funny lol.

 

The reasons you listed are the same things that have plagued us for years.

The Rockets gave up some open looks but did not give up any open layups, a huge improvement from prior games where we'd give up at minimum 10 wide open layups a game.

 

Great team win. Harden was absurd. Jones was fun. Defense was great by each and every player.

 

Nice win. Last couple of games remind me of last year's team. Does Lawson really make that much of a negative impact? Wow.

 

This was my thoughts exactly. Houston looks like Houston without him. No distraction.

 

The entire team was playing negatively. So can we please stop trying to pinpoint it on one individual player.

 

Everybody keeps saying how the Rockets need to unleash Lawson and hand him the reigns in order to incorporate him.

Maybe that just isn't suitable for this Rockets team.
