This article makes me disgusted. This is their game recap, and the first 10 of 12 paragraphs do nothing but glorify Shaq.

It talks about how Shaq dominated Yao - yet Shaq didn't have a single dunk, scored ony 7 points more than Yao, played more time than Yao, and damn near fouled out of the game. ... and it's preseason!!!

Just un-friggin-believable. The Shaq-Kobe worship never ends. I am so damn sick of hearing this crap... AGH!

Yep, it's very misleading. Shaq and Yao's stats were very similar (Shaq had 13 pts and Yao had 10 pts), then Yao left the game and didn't even play the 2nd half - while Shaq kept playing. He scored 4 more points with Yao sitting on the bench. I hardly call that "dominating".

usually someone here on the board tapes it and puts it into a torrent so everyone that wasn't able to watch the game can watch it.

Um actually these pics from China are Getty Images, and are of questionable authority. Do these Chinese sites have the clearance to use these pics? Maybe, maybe no.

Seriously, does Yao have the biggest calves in the league, because if Shaq isn't rivaling them, then who would.

shaq's a great player and still the most dominant individual in the league but at no point during the like 10 minutes that yao actually played did i think he was taking over. yao scored just as easily on him. oh well espn will never change guys.

yao easily has the biggest calves in the league. i don't know how they got like that. i'd say you could put about 15 of mcgrady's legs into one of his. who knows how that guy jumps so high but i'm not mad about it!

Could someone confirm who actually won the game; Yahoo sports is reporting a Heat victory. Several other articles are reporting a Rocket's win. Which is it?

The Rockets went on a 16-0 run and pulled out the game... ignore the Yahoo news stuff unless you want a good laugh.

Some good observations, here are mine:
    1) Howard - He is not quite like MoT. He does not have to post up when Yao is in the game, which mean there is room for Yao to work. Howard can post up but he can also face up and look comfortable taking the 18 ft shot. He can bring down the tough rebound and pass the ball too.

    2) Lue looked very quick. Ward looked good also. Both of them pushed the ball up court and started the play in less than 5 secs with no prompting from Jeff. That allowed us to go thru many options. I think our PG will do well.

    3) Yao didn't play much but he showed that his stamina was much improved. He kept up with the up and down tempo pretty well. He was also a little quicker to the rebound. A little quicker with the jump ball.

    4) I wouldn't worry about JJ not passing the ball to Yao either.

    5) Deke looked good. He is no spring chicken but he can still play. Whoever said he is a wash-up will eat his words. Deke chasing down and blocking a fast break layup at the rim was awesome.

Overall, the whole team looked good, especially the starting 5. They looked like they've played together for a while. Ball movement was good. Defense rotation was quick also.
