We had fun while it lasted, it was always bound to fail when you have offense only players, a coach who does not demand defense and a dumb GM & coach who believe you should just keep shooting threes because data shows it's a better shot than any other. You would think MDA knows about adjustments but I guess not. We will fall to 4-5 seed soon and barring a trade and adjustments to our game, we will not win anything come playoff time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - d'antoni sucks with timeouts. Opposing teams can just go on 20-5 runs and he won't call a damn timeout. Popovich, who i consider the best coach in the league- calls timeouts if it is a 6-2 run or something like that.
Gordon is dinged. He's our second most important player. As long as his back keeps twinging and stiffening up we are going to struggle. Hurts us on both ends of the court when he's not 100%. Increases pressure on Ariza who is and always has been the fifth offensive option on the floor. Without a personnel change we are going to continue to struggle as long as Gordon isn't 100%.
Gordon will never be 100% healthy throughout an NBA season, it's just who he is. He is the definition of an injury-prone player. Without EG all those 3s early on in the season, this team is probably 7th seed. We need 2 other legit stars who can help carry the offensive load if we even want to sniff the NBA finals in this era. Golden State is so stacked, it should be illegal and Spurs ain't a pushover either with Kawhi and their other aging ex-allstars. Clippers probably would've been 3rd seed this year if they didn't suffer all those injuries to their Stars and now they are trying to trade for Melo while keeping CP3, BG, and DJ.
Gordon has become just as inconsistent. He goes from great to horrible game to game. Yes, he is high in 3's but he takes a ton of shots. His percentage has dropped dramatically.
I never gave a f about Harden getting MVP but with Rockets sinking to 5-6 seed that will go to Westbrook. Team needs a wake up call.
I can say this over and over again. But i think, we need a center who can grab rebounds. Harrell, Capela and Nene are great offensive centers with PNR games but none of them can grab a damn rebound. If we got a legit center who played a lick of defense and could grab boards we would not be giving up these huge 25-20 point leads every night

I'm tired of people sayings **** like this. This is a team sport, that loss is on everyone especially Harden who played like absolute garbage in the fourth. He has got to learn to stop relying on the refs and just play through contact
