Careful!!! That's too critical of Harden in his year of the G.O.A.T.

This may be a hot take but I truly believe this year's Rockets have a higher ceiling than last year's. One reason being Harden is on another level this season. Another reason is that they have more shooting and depth around him.

Obviously the defense is still a work in progress but I think they have the potential to be good enough to win a 'ship.

I checked out close to the end of the second quarter. At that time it didn't really look like we needed Harden in the game. Was it really necessary for him to play heavy minutes in the second half?

    Check out this stat:
    • Harden was +21 with 41 minutes
    • Rivers was +1 with 41 minutes
I don't even now how that is possible.

That’s 14 minutes they did not play together. Odds are +10 in 7 with harden only, then -10 with rivers only. Then in their 34 minutes together, they were +11.

what does these even mean? you expect harden to beat all their opponents 82 games all by himself without expecting anyhelp from morey, mda, cp3, etc???

i agree, with a healthy paul we are even better. harden is better. house and rivers make up for moute/ariza. they may not be as good on defense but they are better on offense with their driving ability. danuel house is a beverley-like pickup! i think he has earned himself the starters job! If we package gordon/knight/chriss plus firsts for a star that someone wants to unload, we will definately be right there with the warriors! i wonder who we could get!

    spot on
I particularly like it when house drives into the paint .. good things happen either its a drive to the rim resulting in a dunk or fts or a nice pass to an open 3pt shooter or another slasher

these are very in control drives (unlike eg arizas drives) and he knows what hes doing
i expect him to be a nice creator once he establishes himself more firmly in the nba

I'm loving all these wins and our turnaround from almost rock bottom. Great way to end the year........but

refs make all the difference when they either call the fouls or choose to turn a blind eye to them. James won't get those calls if the officials want to sway the outcome or protect the "Chosen Ones" from fouling out. That frustrates me.
