Love seeing D12 so excited. Can't understand why folks hate this guy.

    Just watched the whole game.

    Wow, good W!
Great work and energy in the 4th!
(And also good ball movement in the 1st).

I thought D-Mo was fantastic. Got into the rythm of the team so well...
He blocked, picked, orchestrated the zone... I just loved his game tonight.

    Man, we're deep!...

Jones and Lin had a good game too, at least offensively, which was great since Howard and Harden were not hitting shots. (BTW - 22 points from the line for the beard... Gotta be a record even for him. :))

My main problem with our game was that defensive mess in the mid 2nd Q.
I have to watch it again, but something was seiously off there with the scheme and switches, or maybe the effort.
(It happened when Omri was in, but it didn't seem like it had much to do with him, personally. Looked like bad team coordination).

    So we're 20:11.

Rockets are tied with the Clips now for 4th-5th best record in the WC. Sweet.
We have a decently nice schedule coming now, except for them Thunders. I hope we manage to rest our roster to full health by mid January to face tougher challenges.

    Go Rockets!

I think we lead the NBA in blocks on one end followed by a dunk on the other end. First, Jones, now DMo.

DMo is learning by watching the game from the bench. He is seeing what is making TJones successful. The McHale benching treatment is also giving him that hunger and drive to play like the coaches want him to play.

I remember McHale benching Budinger 8-10 games and then when he gets the PT, he gets up and plays defense. Same with TJones.

I think DMo will get more PT depending on whether he can handle his match-up. TJones can get more rest.

We have to give credit also to Cisco Garcia who played in place of TJones in our 4th qtr line-up. Probably because of his maturity, he was the one assigned to double ZBo alongside DMo.

I also saw him talking to DMo a couple of times on the court after DMo picked up some fouls. He also hit a big 3 and drew a charging foul from ZBo.

    whadya mean?

He was already freed and playing well (highest 3pt FG% on the team) for a stretch of games, then he got that knee injury followed by back spasms.

How many games has it been since he's been back? 3-4 games?

He has to play consistently so that coaches know what they can get from him. In games that he doesn't shoot well, he should just be careful to minimize TOs. Don't play wildly (like in that DAL game). Also McHale is challenging him to up his defense of the starting PG. So far he's responded.

I want to see the Rockets play like they mean business against NO. Win early and rest the starters for OKC.

Re watch that 4th quarter, Harden played as good of defense as you'll see at the sg position. He was a force I was absolutely in aww at his focus and determination to stay in front of his man. IMO he had the play of the game late in the 4th were he blocked a shot near the rim. After that we came down and scored and the game was pretty much out of reach. I thought the whole team played great defense. I think the team is staring to find a defensive identity their playing with more of a scheme and seem to betraying to force the ppl into the middle of the paint. I like it a lot because I think in order to play good reframe you must funnle everything into the middle. Once asik is back watch out that's 12 fouls and 48 min of wilt rim protection.

Lin play great defense in spur's game, but not tonight.
Lin lost his place in most of plays against Conley .
    Conley just missed.

This game showed a lot of maturation by our team. Awesome sign of things to come!

I don't agree with your reasoning. I think Dmo was already hungry and ready to play. He played well in the preseason, I just think Mchale came into the season with preconceived ideas of what he wanted to do. That's why he stuck Lin on the second team and didn't give Dmo any real playing time.

Hopefully Mchale can learn from his mistakes and leave Lin as the starter and make sure that Dmo at the very least is the 2nd pf off of the bench.

Great team effort in the 4th quarter. What a win! Glad that Demo got minutes. Hope he kept on his effort on defense. Love JH sacrificed his body and dived for the ball. This is what leaders do.

Tony Allen has really slipped, he's become slow and the frustration has led him to becoming dirty.

He's got to play to do so. That means, same leash that others have, Jeremy has. Don't get hung up on TOs and bonehead stuff, let the guy play. It'll work out most times.

I don't totally agree with that. He can be mistake prone but he just needs to play. If he plays wildly, yell at him, challenge him, but PLAY him. He's PROVEN. Anyone that has watched Lin since he emerged with Linsanity and then fell back to earth know that he can look out of control and amateurish and then turn it around and help win you games or carry a team to a win. PLAY HIM regardless, let him play through mistakes. No more he has to anything. Play him and he'll improve by playing through his mistakes, no matter how frustrating it gets sometimes.
