I assume you mean 10/30 (a week from Tuesday) against the Lakers. All I want is for the other team to play their best players at least half the game and give a hard effort. The Sonics game was an OK test but Wilcox didn't play. Unfortunately Pau might not play on Tuesday. I was looking forward to seeing Scola defend him.

Luther and Bonzi will get a lot of time. So should Mike Harris. Hopefully Snyder, JL3 and Butler won't even touch the floor. Let's see if MJ & (especially) SF look smoother on offense, and how good Mike Conley is at this point. It would be fun to see him and AB match up for a few minutes. As far as I'm concerned, Tracy doesn't need to play much. Same for Shane. If Yao has a strong 1st half, then OK, he can sit out most all the 2nd half and let Butler on the court.

My big wish: That we start the game with our dynamic 3rd quarter lineup from last night: MJ, Tracy, Shane, Scola and Yao. When Yao gets his first rest, slide Scola over to C and bring Chuck in at PF. When Yao comes back, Scola gets rested and Chuck stays in at PF.

Rockets win by less than 10 because we hardly play any of our good players for a significant amount of time

I hope we can execute on offense and defend against a full strength Grizzlies.
This could be a good test for us.

I would say that yes, that is possible provided that Kobe got traded at some time before that season opener to some team other than the Rockets.

If Kobe is still with the Lakers come opening night, then the game might be more competitive than you think. He can often have his way of keeping the Lakers in the game and even giving them a chance to win by carrying on with the scoring load, which is something he's often done very well at in the past three seasons since the Shaq trade. I feel that if he manages to score at least 50 points in the game, then the Lakers will likely not go down that easily.

if tmac plays like he should, he'll cancel out kobe pretty easily. but i have zero doubt we'll win that game.

the utah game will be more of a struggle b/c it will be EMOTIONAL since they beat us last year. i'm so PUMPED for that game already. can't wait till we kick their arse.
