ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 5/12/2015 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 5)

I still feel we have a chance.

 

This the least competitive second round series in playoffs this year smj Houston better learn from this

 

This is officially do or die territory Harden and Dwight must play well not get in foul trouble, and be aggressive, screw getting teammates involved they have to be the ones to carry this team to a win. Brewer, Jones, and Smoove must also play well for a win.

 

CF could use more of this. Most of the posters think they are on the team. We are fans and if we are to be true to our team and city.we will be out there supporting the guys until they are done. Go Houston!

Yep, this. That should be our main priority this offseason. Just let go Smith, Jones, and other garbage players. Just don't keep terrible shooters and free throwers. I am ok with letting Dwight go somewhere. He becomes worthless now at free throw line and foul too much. I like what Spurs and Warriors are doing, they have pure shooters. The pure shooters are important and will get their teams to get to NBA finals most of the times.

 

And the clippers have a lot of pure shooters.

 

Our poor shooting has certainly kept us out of the last 2 games, but until we start playing a little defense the outcomes will remain the same regardless: blowouts.

 

Rockets can get all the shooters they want, If they play no defense it doesnt matter.

 

This could be the last game of the season, so I'm watching to the end regardless of the score.

 

Game 5 against OKC in 2013 facing elimination: Harden goes 10/16 and 7/9 from 3 to score 31 despite only getting to the line 5 times.

Game 5 against POR in 2014 facing elimination: Dwight goes 9/15, 4/6 from the FT line (couple clutch ones from what I remember) 3 blocks and only 1 turnover.

If either guy shows up tomorrow with a dominant performance like this, we might have a chance. If both guys show up like this, put a W in the books.

Dunno what the Clippers are going to give us, but I'm hoping our two superstars are at least at the level, mentally, prepared to give us one of those performances

 

Summer official start after tomorrow game for the Rockets.

 

Rockets being booed on their home court by their own fans won't be a pretty thing to see.
