If Lin outplays Rondo you can bet your ass people will be making it about just that.

But as long as it's a win for the Rockets I don't care how it's done.

I expect BOS to overfocus on Lin...and get destroyed by the other Rockets.

    Rondo goes 38-21-2; Celtics lose.

With all due respect, fans who think they have an influence on Morey and/or the coaching staff are just flattering/fooling themselves. Fan power has impact on things marketing related (interviews, promotions such as bobbleheads, etc.), but not when it comes to the games or coaching. What's Morey gonna do? Undermine the coaches? If fans had that much power, Lin would likely still be a Knick, and we would never see Lin being benched ever, let alone repeatedly.

Rondo is going off for another one of those 20-20-20 games.

Do you think McHale and Sampson will feel no pressure at all if they decide not to start Lin or bench Lin every game? They would just be bombarded by the media if not by fans or Morey to question that decision. Heck, even Knicks' Woodson dared not to bench Lin when he took over the job although he was never high on him just because the media already reacted strongly by his mere words of "we will wait and see if Lin starts'.

Fans and media's pressure might not affect McHale/Sampson's decision to play Lin. But to say they will never feel any pressure from that decision is just naive.

Rondo's averaging 13 points a game? He's an assist guy right?

    A couple things:

    1. Let's look at the facts. Lin fans were upset the first time Lin was benched and sat out the entire OT against Portland, and I'm sure they voiced their outrage very vocally. If fan pressure had any effect at all, why was Lin benched again and again?

    2. All coaches are used to pressure and criticism. If coaches can't handle fan pressure, well, they shouldn't (and wouldn't) be coaches. Period.

    3. I agree with you that Woodson is not a huge fan of Lin. But he used Lin as a starter not because of fan pressure but because Lin was the best PG on the team (definitely better than TD, a hurt Davis, or Bibby). As a matter of fact, if the fan pressure had any impact at ll, Lin would still be a Knick right now.

FWIW I don't like the coaches decision in benching Lin. But seriously, if any fans have the illusion that they are the ones keeping Lin on the court, they are kidding themselves.

BTW, I never said they will never feel the pressure, I said it (fan pressure) has no impact on their decision. If it had,

    1. Harden would still be a Thunder.
    2. Dragic would likely still be a Rocket.
    3. Lin would still be a Knick.

Rox has enough talent to win this game, let's see whether they improve on their transition defense. Something I've been waiting for since the Thunder game.

Hope to see Harden TO the ball less, Lin do not pass up open shot, Asik finish better around the rim, and team kill Celtics in the paint.

Celtics has been inconsistent so far, it's hard to make a prediction. Favoring my Rox WIN 101-99.

Watched today's interview with Lin and what's interesting to me is that he says the swelling around the knee is going down each day. So that means the swelling is still there?

Woodson might feel the pressure from the packed MSG, but McHale/Sampson might not feel the pressure from an half empty Toyota Center.
