If we continue with our defensive identity, we lose this one quite easily. I would like to see point distribution like the second Utah game.

You mean Rondo murders our lackluster team defense.

No individual can stop Rondo all game, only Rondo shuts down Rondo. Same as Parker, or Westbrook, or any fast and aggressive point guards.

If we're lucky, Rondo has a bad game.

Remember, this is the same Rondo that put up 42 points on the Miami Heat in the ECF. This isn't about Lin vs. Rondo, this is about the Rockets Defense vs Rondo, the same as this is about the Boston Defense trying to shut down Lin and Harden.

Besides Rondo vs Lin, there's also KG whose length is going to be problem for Asik and PPat. Looks like it's going to be a 3-point shooting contest for the Rox tonight.

Well they are last in the league in defense and it sounds like they're concentrating on it now. Doesn't excuse playing people out of position though. When your SG is leading the league in turnovers and handling the ball a lot shouldn't that be a red flag to them? Have Harden come of picks for his shots and Lin will pass him the ball when he's open.

I miss Chuckwagon. He would always knock KG down a notch whenever we played Boston. Such beautiful post defense from a 6'5 center.

On another note I can actually DVR the game today. :)

Boston's record of this season shows that they are beatable. I hope we get this one.

Hopefully Mike Breen and Hubie Brown are the game announcers. Can't stand JVG. The guy has annoying voice and sometimes annoying attitude to go with it.

C's can't defend the paint this season, especially when KG is off the floor. That means 2nd unit with Smith should just pound the ball in the paint against their "bigs." Lots of PnR w/ Smith rolling to the rim. Neither Green, Bass, or Sully should be able to stop him.

I was only talking about JVG's annoying voice and sometimes cynical attitude when commenting games. Of course, a lot fans here love JVG because of his coaching history with the team. :p

I don't really know what to expect from Lin offensively. There are nights he looks like Nash & other nights he looks like steve blake. But defensively I think he will be aggressive today or at least I hope so. Lin is very good at having strong defensive rematches against PG's that formerly outplayed him. Chalmers from last year. Westbrook from pre-season. Conley from earlier in the season. Watch out Nate Robinson you are next.

Hopefully he has a strong defensive showing against Rondo. Very hard for one person to stop Rondo, usually takes a team to do that, but would be nice if Lin was active on defense. Unless ofcourse McHale decides to put defensive stopper Tony Douglas in to stop Rondo.

Watch Toney "Tony Allen" Douglas play more minutes than Lin this game.

Slowest team vs. the fastest team in the league. Interested to see which team plays up or down to the other teams pace this game.

I think you clog the paint on defense, and make them beat you with just jump shots, but you can't forget about the all time #1 Rockets killer that migrated East this year to join the Celts.

Should be one of the more interesting games of the season tonight. Pretty excited about this one.

I actually think Tony is going to have a great game today. He has bad memories from playing the Celtics in the playoffs two years ago & in the regular season last year.

Wouldn't be surprised if Tony goes lights out from 3 to be honest. I am being totally serious right now. Expect a great game from Tony Douglas offensively. Defensively it will be the same **** as last time.

    LOL

You bet Sampson will be whispering to McHale's ears to put Tony Douglas on the first min Rondo passes by Lin. They two probably would rather start TD if not for the pressure from the fans or/and Morey. ;)

Rondo is a nightmare matchup. He's not someone you can just throw your best defender at because he doesn't look to score. He kills you in every other way and our poor team defense will definitely have problems.

The only way to slow down Rondo is with team defense cause neither Lin nor defensive specialist TD are going to be able to stop him. Unfortunately team defense is one area we consistently suck at so I'm expecting Rondo to have a big game (being on national TV is going to motivate him). If Celtics play at a slow steady pace it's going to be a tough game. Hopefully Delfino finds his shooting back and handles the ball less. No more running the fast breaks please.

From Jonathan Feigen, the announcers will be Mike Tirico and Jon Barry. Jon Barry? He is an obnoxious prick!!! He despises any team that's not elite.

Will Worrell and Bullard still be announcing this game on CSN even if it will be broadcasted on ESPN?

should destroy Celtics on the glass. I would think this would be a very good game for Morris to see major minutes to utilize his offensive rebounding skills.

If Rockets dictate pace, could be an easy win with Rondo going off.

All depends on McHale. If he has a brain freeze we lose...
