We won a hard fought game against one of the better teams in the league. Don't understand why all the posts are about Lin's performance here. There is a lot to be happy about in this game.

Actually, he has been playing well throughout except maybe in the last 3 games. Bottom line though, coach benches him everytime when there is 3 mins left in the 1st quarter, no matter what. Then, Lin never plays till 6 mins left in the 2nd. Started in the first game. If he plays mediocre, he finds reasons to bench Lin longer, even earlier in the season when Lin had something like 21 points, 10 boards (or was it assists?). Kills the offenses rhythm. I think Sampson has something against Lin. Similar to Woodson.

I think it has finally hit me what's going on with Sampson and benching Lin. Sampson probably pulled hard for Toney over Shaun Livingston for Houston's final cut. Now he has a vested interest in Toney so he plays him when he shouldn't.

dude, give douglas some f'n credit. He stepped up when Lin's game was failing him. we don't win without Dougie's performance in the 4th qtr. I want lin to be successful here but in the past 2 games he hasn't been running the team well, which was something he was doing.

Pat played really well. I think he is starting to come around. Parsons after an slow start to the season is becoming a factor again. His rebounding has really impressed me most. I think this guy plays like an mature leader.

Douglas gets a bad rep, but as bad as he plays sometimes, he plays tough as nails. Allways has intensity and never quits.

Just watched the game. Jeremy please stop taking threes as your first shot. Also as a below average shooter, you're not going to shoot yourself out of a slump by taking more threes.

I wish when he is open for a three, take a step in and make it easier for himself, as his 3% is ficking awful right now. And it's crushing the rest of his game.

I've noticed his effort level and intensity has gone down as well, thanks to lame ass Sampson, I thought when Sampson said Lin will get more P/R sets he would be alright, but actually I think he has something against Lin.

Bottom line, in the Bulls game Jeremy had a bad game, he was a step slow, couldn't get the bounce of the ball, quite a few bad luck plays and bone headedness, and his continued shooting slump meant that Toney Douglas was right to get the minutes in this game.

Side note: Nate can do what he did to Lin against anyone, he torched Miami last year when he was at Golden State.

    Well said.

Really glad that the Rockets won last night, and that TD has contributed to that win, especially after the long slump he has been through and all the craps he's taken.

The disappointing thing is to see Lin played really poorly in this game (except 1st qtr). We all know his shots haven't been falling this season. But he has overall been able to contribute in other areas. I can see he was really trying hard when he was out there but just got outplayed. Hope it is just one game.

Yup he was a step slow tonight. And i think he is over thinking to much with his shooting & i do think Sampson has him on way to short of a leash which likely isn't helping his already low confidence. For all of McHales faults he would have more confidence in Jeremy (at least I think he would).

    Noted, filed in memory bank.

I'll be honest. I was worried. I still don't like Toney Douglas. A sun will shine on a dogs ass, a clock is right twice a day. But he was big tonight, or at least in the fourth quarter.

Toney Douglas was a good 3pt shooter his first two years with the Knicks. He shot 39% his first year and 37% his second year. Last year when his minutes dropped his shooting percentage also dropped. I'm thinking if the coaches show some trust in Toney and give him more minutes, his shooting will improve as his confidence grows. Maybe Lin and Douglas should be splitting the minutes so both players feel loved and will have confidence. It would be great to have a PG that could shoot threes at 39%.
