I can almost mortgage my house that the refs will not swallow the wistle in the first half of the second game on us, like they did in the first game. Therefore, if a shot is open, take it. Othewise, dump it into Howard or relentlessly drive into the paint looking for contact.

I've been watching these things for way to long, so somethings are very predictable.

Yep. The NBA is rigged. They officiate like game 1 so they can extend a series and generate more revenue. Had the rox won game 1, the refs would have **** the bed on another game to extend the series.

I expect the rox to blow out Portland in big fashion. I expect to see focus and anger in the face of the rockets. We will win the next two games and take back HCA.

just looked at the clippers and warriors box score. wow, the foul disparity. are the zebras making atonement for the missed call on CP3 in game 1? if so, warriors are royally screwed. wonder how game 2 for rockets will be called. we don't need favourable calls, we just need CONSISTENT calls on both sides.

Refs cant stand Dwight, Harden and Lin. They wont try to do a make-up game. Just rest those three in the fourth quarter.

I agree for the most part. Lin gets yao like treatment and he is a point guard. Harden gets so many shoves in the lower body/back/hip that never gets called. Harden got pushed in the back on the last play which resulted in a terrible off balance three. I think he wanted that spot away from everyone where he could turn around and fake/shoot or do the harden step back but mathews pushed him further back. Crucial no call.

But i dont think we will be getting any make up calls. That would be way too predictable after the clippers game. The most i see is us winning and the refs making sure the blazers cover the spread. If the blazers win then that is gravy for the nba.

    Wolverine healing powers!

“I knew how I felt when I woke up this morning that I was OK,” Beverley said after going through practice with the team. “Hearing him agree with me was a blessing.
“I felt a real stiff little pain as far as the knee area where I hurt before. But I’m fortunate. I don’t know. I heal fast, I guess.
I woke up at home, tried to put some weight on it. Squat, it felt good. One leg jump, it felt good. Did this all at home. I just have an ability to heal.”

Game probably won't start until 9 like on Sunday. When did Houston start using West Coast time?

I'm dreading but also so excited for Wednesday. A loss would be heartbreaking and basically end the season, but I'm confident we can pull out the win. Still disgusted over last night, but we'll see what happens. Gotta win 2 of the next 3...

Please oh please Rockets, come out with the same intensity Wednesday just as the Clippers did tonight.

No ending to this season. We win 2 games at the very least, preferably 4.

We need to do something about Aldridge. Run Twin Towers more. Can't have him going for 40 again.

The fundamentals of this upcoming game 2 favor a Rockets win, but McHale could mess it up in a number of ways:

    - too much reliance on an injured Beverley to guard Lillard. Lillard is in Beverley's head right now and will get the calls from the refs.
    - too much reliance on Parsons and Jones to play out of position defensively against guards.
    - no ability to integrate Asik or D-Mo in as a better size matchup at the PF or C alongside Howard. Without an effective change in the front court, Aldridge will make life miserable for the Rockets.
    - too much iso-Harden plays when he has a pretty good, long-armed defender like Batum guarding him.
    - too little reliance on Lin to handle primary defensive assignments that a guard should handle in order to allow other defenders to play a normal matchup.

I think Mchale should change defensive assignments... Howard should not be guarding Aldrige at all during the game... he is not a good one on one defender but an excellent shotblocker... bring DMo or asik to guard aldrige, do a zone defense and let them beat us from the outside...

After OKC lost their Game 2, I don't feel that bad anymore. S**t happens, and we're not as dominant as OKC has been this season.
