[ClutchFans] Finally! First Scrimmage Footage of Dwight Howard with the Rockets

This Scrimmage Footage made me think why Olajuwon says Howard/Lin combo can be “very deadly”

I hope Mchale don't separate Lin and Howard by rotation.

It makes me think Lin/Howard/DMo could be "very deadly" Howard showed some nice passing and DMo showed that he can score on Howard. If he can score on Howard, he can score on pretty much any PF in the league. With Howard, DMo, Lin, Harden, and Parsons out there, you can score at will inside the paint and out on the perimeter. I don't imagine too many teams being able to stop that unit from scoring.

 

Linsanity occurred when there was not a dominant scoring wing on the court. There are people that want Lin as 6th man because they dislike Lin. There are people that want Lin as sixth man because they think he can be like what Harden was for OKC.

While I think Lin was not the best fit with Harden last year, he still was a good player and needed more time working with Harden. There were times that Beverley produced better due to fit. Beverley was 43rd best in the NBA in spot up shooting efficiency.

With Howard on the Rockets, I think Lin will be a better fit starting than Beverley. Lin will most likely be better than Beverley and Harden at getting Howard easy opportunities.

Why do some of these guys wear long sleeves while practicing basketball? Is this just a "look"/"style" statement or is there some sort of physical benefit it provides? I'm curious.

I used to do that for practice back when I played high school ball. For me, our gym was always freezing cold and wearing a long sleeve underneath was pretty comfortable. It's like playing with a lighter version of your warm ups on

 

What time is the Rockets vs Pelicans game in Eastern Time?

 

Jones has to be the favorite for the starting PF spot. He's athletic, can block shots, and crash the boards. He doesn't need the ball to have an impact, which is good because we won't ask him to score. He's like a homeless man's Josh Smith.

It just depends on what they want from the position. Jones is better defensively than DMo, and DMo is better offensively especially in the post. I think both PF's will be valuable to the team this year.

 

I think Lin will have a much better awesome year in a Harden/Ginobili super sub role.

Unfortunately, after watching the footage, I am pretty sure that the Rockets won't. I am sorry, Mr. Lin, but I am afraid that you will have to make the personal sacrifice and start for the good of the team.

No, the majority here don't hate him. The Lin fans are far to sensitive and interperate the slightest criticism as being a hater.

 

Why the lack of content/videos today Clutch? Not complaining, genuinely curious. Did they have a scrimmage today?
