[ClutchFans] Finally! First Scrimmage Footage of Dwight Howard with the Rockets

As always "are you going to believe your lying eyes or the facts?" CF fans to often choose the former.

 

And the times Lin got picked, Bev, Harden, Parsons, Canaan, all did the exact same thing getting picked and trailing from behind, but from EVEN FARTHER behind...

 

Everyone should get a chance to play with Jeremy. He makes his teammates better.

 

i observe that D-MO and Dwight are getting Physical to each other!...

 

Bev was decent for two games in the playoffs.

Lin was an All-star for 20 games during Linsanity.

Brooks won the MIP award in 2010.

That was then, this is now. It doesn't count for anything if guys don't perform in 2013-14.

 

Bev was decent against a weakened, Westbrook-less OKC. It's not ignored, just not given as much credit as you want (and rightfully so). Lin's position as starting PG is solid. Doubters are engaging in wishful thinking.

 

Bev is trying to hold off AB.

 

He's a better spot-up shooter.

 

But you ignore the fact that Lin got injured? And not to knock Bev cuz I love Bev and was so glad to upgrade from Douglas, but what exactly were his averages during that time? His opponents'? If Lin averaged that, would you think he was great? Once again, people just see what they want to see, I guess. So you ignore the rest of the season, then? Lin played like 1 1/2 games in the playoffs. Why the push to get Bev minutes or the starting position when Lin is clearly the better player with more experience and bigger sample size of playing well?

 

And there you go proving my point that people just see what they want to see, lol.

 

BMoney, most of us have been going through Rockets Basketball withdrawal since the season ended. I'm sure you have, as well. Right now, this is all we've got. I've been watching a few games from last season that I saved on my DVR just to get my fix. This is golden! ;-)-

 

I place a much higher value on playoff games than regular season games.

I am not saying Lin has lost his starting job, but like I posted earlier, I really think it is up in the air.

All that matters is what is best for the team. If it is best for the team, Lin nor his fans should be against it. He could have a much better season off the bench than he can as a starter.

Even just those 9min. of Jones impressed me, no wonder everyone's been raving about his improvement. TJ making a point to get that starting position.

There is no way that Bev's playoff games (against a team lacking one of its superstars nonetheless) overrides Lin's run with the Knicks, or his full 82 starts last season.

 

That was pretty intense for a scrimmage. These guys look like they are on a mission.

 

I'm guessing that this is more because they want to pair up Howard and Harden right away to get them acclimated with each other but in order to have some kind of challenge for them in scrimmage the other starters need to be on the other team.

 

No, I saw him shoot a lot of bricks and airballs. Lin is good when he is on, (the problem was that he got hot so rarely) but when he is off, he is really bad. I think he was distracted mentally a lot last season because he felt like he was being treated unfairly by McHale. Hopefully, he will be able to get past that this season.

 

Man I'm impressed by AB and Lin.

AB is making all the right decisions and Lin seems good.

Lin does do alot of help defense which did help lead to a turnover...but as others have mentioned, he did get stuck across alot of screens.

I think T Jones has great potential.
