The MLB trade deadline has passed, so league trading is now officially closed. Offseason trading will be reopened at the end of the season.

Division winners plus two wild cards based on record regardless of division.

First round is one week long (two periods added together). You get 8 SP games to use however you want during these two periods. With RPs, you just start any two at all times.

Championship game period is two weeks long (4 periods added together). You get 8 SP games to use each week (total of 16 for the 2 weeks). Start any two RPs at all times. Basically same as the first round, just doubled.

Here`s an update on pitching games used through week 40

    Rook: 129 SP, 106 RP
    Aliens: 131 SP, 114 RP
    DarkHorse: 118 SP, 113 RP

Maximums: 155 SP, 130 RP. Once they`re used up, you can no longer start anyone at that position.

Only 5 regular season games left!!

7 teams are within striking distance for the 4 playoff spots. Nobody has clinched a spot yet (although it would take a miracle now for the Expos not to make it). Looks like it's going to come down to the wire! Anything can happen.

Only 3 games left. The fight for playoff spots is getting intense! 7 teams are still mathematically in the hunt for the 4 spots (2 division winners + 2 wildcards). Good luck everyone!

Definitely exciting down the stretch! Fade mathematically wrapped up a playoff berth a couple games ago but the other 3 are up for grabs. Smeg looks like he's got one of the wild cards, but anyone out of Rook, DV, LH, even Jent could make it with the other 2 spots. It's been a competitive and hard fought season for sure.

Here`s an update on pitching games used through week 43

    Rook: 142 SP, 113 RP
    Aliens: 146 SP, 120 RP
    DarkHorse: 130 SP, 128 RP
    chrisjent: 138 SP, 103 RP
Da Yankees: 124 SP, 130 RP

    Expos: 147 SP, 122 RP
    LHFan: 150 SP, 126 RP
    Smeggy: 148 SP, 130 RP
    Punks: 107 SP, 130 RP
    PSJ: 145 SP, 118 RP

Maximums: 155 SP, 130 RP. Once they`re used up, you can no longer start anyone at that position.

There are 45 game periods total.

Special note: Smeg's team ran out of RP games midway through this past period. So, any RP scores recorded after he hit the maximum will not be counted. As a result, the points accumulated for Valverde's save on Sunday and K-Rod's save on Saturday (14 and 15 points respectively) have been deleted. Therefore, the final result of The Aliens vs. SmegCity game is a 194-189 win for Smeg. For some reason, the updated correct score does not appear in the live results. However, it can be seen in the team page's "schedule" section, and I have verified that the team total points (used in tiebreakers, determining draft order, etc..) is in fact correct.

Playoff races: If the season ended today, the playoffs teams would be the Expos, Smeg, Aliens and Rook. However, DarkHorse can easily knock Sam or Rook out if things go his way, and even LongHorn can grab a spot with a sturdy effort and a ton of luck.
