[ClutchFans] Day 1: Motiejunas Shines in Summer League Debut (+ video interviews)

Didn't he say last year that Scola was his hero? This guy will only be getting better as his NBA career takes off. I can't wait to see him down here in RGV, it will be fun.

He's very skilled and cocky. Gotta love that combination.

If HOU bags Dwight, that saves DMo from having to live up to that quote of him from last year. haha

 

I love how well he speaks for being foreign. A lot of the guys from that area of Europe he is from have way to heavy of accents to speak so clearly and takes them a while to get good at interviews. English seems so natural to him that you can tell he has been speaking it for a while.

 

Doubt you will see him at RGV,but you are right it will be fun to see him grow as a player.

 

He's 21 years old now. In another two or three years, he'll probably add another 20 pounds of muscle to his frame. Guy could be very good.

what also impressed me was his concern for Royce White

 

I know its summer league but these guys look good. I hope we keep them all and develop them.

 

I have a bad feeling all of this excitement over these guys is fixing to be crushed when we overpay for Dwight Howard.

It's getting a little annoying hearing him basically start every answer the same, but i guess that attitude will only help him here. He at least seems to know he may have to wait his turn in the real games.

Clutch thanks again for creating Clutch (City) Fans. Watching the video and seeing Donuts start to blossom into what I had faith he could become, just makes all the other craziness right now ok.

What's really fascinating about this kid is his attitude. Yes, he's cocky, but on the other hand he also doesn't let that influence his good side. There were a few instances were he was running to pick a guy up from the floor, or the chest bump with Parsons. Many players get into that ego that they forget what really makes a difference in life.

He has the potential to be one of the greatest if he keeps it up.

 

Royce favors T-mac in the interview but with lighter skin and a bad ass beard obviously to me. Maybe just the lighting? Anyways, Royce did have a tough game, but he did show his solid passing vision and ability. He will be just fine. While I am all for trading for D-12 to pair with D-Mo, these rookies are making it tough to choose which ones to cut ties with. I would be ok with giving up Jones, but at the same time he played really well today also. One way or another, it is definitely a good problem to have!
