THe only thing which would have made it better would be ending it with this shot:

Joking, of course. It was perfect.

Great analysis Clutch...man I miss the 04-05 and the 08-09 teams the most. I was too young to remember the mid to late 90s teams because I was too young, but I was still a Rockets fan back then nonetheless!

That was beautiful. Watching the clips of early Yao showing so much promise and later Yao fighting through injury make me wish even more for Yao to make an improbable comeback this year and the Rox to make a run, turning things around this season.

Would make a nice legend: anointed savior overcomes doubts to come into his own only to meet with career threatening injuries, but eventually makes good on his earlier promise and brings home the prize as a weathered, but wise warrior.

On that tip, I'd like to see the Rox land a franchise player soon and let Yao take a secondary role.

this video was much better than the one they had a few years ago when the completely omitted the Steve Francis era.

Also, props to putting in everybody, Sleepy Floyd, Scottie Brooks, OT, major props for Ron being there too.

genius for having all those dream highlights when 'dream on' was on.

would have loved to seen the Mad Max golden state shot, but i'm nit picking.

also would have loved to seen Dream blocking MJ so the fake fans can open their mouths and eat it.
    :p

This organization is nothing but class. That video epitomizes what we are. A lot of those faces didn't leave this team on good terms, but in the end, they were Rockets.

I have an overwhelming dichotomy of sadness and hope watching this video. What we are, what we could be, and what we were conflict at resonate at the same time. I love what they did, and I cannot wait to see what they do for the 50th anniversary.

I hope people who see this video realizes that there is tradition and that there is a very high standard set here with championships and hall of famers.

Also glad to see all those Robert Horry clutch shots, because contrary to what the NBA marketing wants you to believe, Big Shot Rob didn't start in LA.

Also happy to see lots of the championship teams cause the media loves to disrespect those teams, even though nobody could stop them.

    Good to see Ralph.

What is somewhat funny to me about these team history videos is when I watch the opponents' versions, I inevitably say to myself how completely uninterested I am,,,and let's get to the tip off, please,,,and how I almost pity other fans for having a souless existence, doomed to watching their team's pre-game videos and regimentally clapping for their ungrateful team wearing stupid authentics of ugly uniforms.

And, yet, I tear up watching that 44yr vid. We have the BEST team to root for! You know I'm, right!

not enough Cuttino, though. And a Dream block or facial on #33 would have been awesome

The freeze/slow-motion pictures used in the video were BEAUTIFUL.
Amazing video. I've noticed the quality of all Rockets-related graphics, etc. have significantly improved this year...

Do the Rockets have a new Video Production team or something?

I hope now that someone got it on the net with a camera phone that the Rox might release a better quality version for us to enjoy. Great video, anyone that thinks the Rox are just another team in the NBA needs to watch this.

I can't believe they put in all those fights too, I would have thought the NBA would have told them no. I love it though. Please post the better quality video if its ever released too, thanx!

    Great video.

    Could've used:
    -Olajuwon blocking a Jordan shot
-Olajuwon's buzzer beater versus Dallas (~'96; look at #7 and #6 in this video)
    -This:

Good Lord, I love the Houston Rockets. So much of my that weaved into my life.

Summer of 1994 my best friend and I started dating...had "the talk" the night before Game 1 of the NBA Finals. We were married 3 years later.

Going to games with my dad...and now my sons.

Celebrating both championships inside the Summit.

So glad you put this up there Clutch, where I can watch it again and again.
