    hey haven- watch your mouth. Nomar is the best player in the league, let alone shortstop. a-rod can suck it.

And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it.     Everyone -- I really, really appreciate the comments... thanks. Also thanks DoD for posting the article. It was a nice honor to have that in Sports Illustrated... ESPN the Mag was great as well, but I grew up with SI. Almost 5 years doing the site so it was cool to read that...

    Will definitely deserves props. So does Dave Cebrero.

    They said they wanted to write more to include Save Our Rockets, etc. but I guess a slightly bigger section (500 words I think) was taken. We talked a lot about how the site is done for no money so I thought that was going to be the angle on the story. Talked about the Francis scoop in 1999 by rf34 and popeye. Talked about the Matt Maloney's brother story. Talked about our relationship with the team. They also called Jeff and talked about SOR. John O'Keefe is a great guy.... I enjoyed talking to him.

    Problem is, and this is why I hadn't posted yet, I can't find the damn magazine!

    I've called quite a few places and no luck. I went to Barnes and Noble looking for the thing and I couldn't find it, so I asked the lady there and she's like, "New Sports Illustrated? Oh yes, right this way."

    She then proceeds to take me to the Swinsuit Edition.

    I'm like, "What am I, some perv?"

    So I grab two copies of that. Find out afterwards they don't have the new issue. I call today and ask about it and the B&N guy is like, "Who's on the cover?". I say, "Garciaparra of the Red Sox. He doesn't have a shirt on."

    Dude chuckles.

    Great. First I'm a perv, then I'm hot for Nomar.

    STILL NO MAG. So hopefully I'll find it tomorrow.

    Thanks again everyone... clutchcity.net has been a fun ride.
