Maybe so. It sounds like Konami shut down everything, which would make it impossible to play AFAIK, but I haven't really paid much attention to this whole disaster. Maybe there are some weird issues that let some people play it (or boot up?). I haven't really checked to see if anyone else has been able to get in (5000+ posts at NeoGAF that I would have to read through). BTW, I'm assuming he isn't part of some closed beta program. I think this is for the open beta, but maybe Konami also has some closed betas going on still (not sure why though?). I recall them doing a closed beta around 6 months ago IIRC, although that was Japan-only IIRC.

Don't get Rockband. The songs suck, it gets boring within a week, and its expensive. I need to find a way to start playing it or I'm going to sell it. I bought the whole kit too.
songs are 1.99 and they arent that great, i only have like 2 or 3 downloaded songs that I like, although they released a few songs from Disturbed last week. Im not sure if I want to sell it just yet, i think i just need to overcome my call of duty 4 addiction lol if i do, ill let you know. Probably $140, the whole kit, and i bought an extended warranty from sams club.
