If he is Mario Williams 2.0 then I'll take it, Mario one of the league leaders in sacks. So.....

I'm not sure I have the same optimism of the texans bbs being good again...but I do hope it gets better. Or at the very least some of the more annoying posters have a self realization that they are, in fact, annoying.

LOL at calling him a bust. I've seen it elsewhere too.

A 21 year old getting injured is a bust. Blake Griffin is a bust. SMFH.

This is what I am hoping but you have to remember this is the HOUSTON Texans. With our injury luck he will be a Greg Oden instead of a Blake Griffin. I don't think its fair to call him a bust but I don't think it's fair to call players with injury plagued careers a bust. I don't think Oden was a bust but Darko was.

I really hope he heals well and comes back strong next year.

    I wish.

More of a common start as Greg Oden....defensive beast...that never was.....

Hope he comes back strong...and can actually stay on the field next season. Rough start for a #1 pick.......

    ugh.

    Positive Spin:

Well, at least we now know he wasn't faking an injury. And he should be 100% by next year. It will be like having 2 1st round draft picks.

    Negative Spin:

We endured a 14-game losing streak so we could get:

    1. an OLB with 7 tackles for the season
    2. a backup OG
    3. a backup TE
    4. a NT who went right to IR
    5. a 3rd string project QB
    6. a backup DE
    7. a backup RB
    8. a FB for an offense that rarely uses a FB
    9. a backup CB
    10. Mr Irrelevant

training camp opens in 7 months. Will Clowney actually be ready? Depeding on which surgery and how he recovers, it is entirely possible he won't be.

Too bad somebody put a muzzle on Jayson Braddock's source. He would have already sent out a tweet letting everyone know what's up.

Did Griffin have question marks about his attitude, work ethic, and brittleness before he was even drafted? I honestly don't remember. All I know is that Clowney had question marks, and each of them have bubbled to the surface his rookie season. Can he turn it around? Maybe, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Better to call him a bust and be pleasantly proven wrong than to be like Linus in the pumpkin patch.

And actions speak louder than words. If the Texans select a pass rusher, in the 2015 draft, that will speak volumes about their real opinion of Clowney.

The Texans with Clowney, and the Astros with Aiken. Ouch (pun intended)!

In the future, if any Houston franchise gets the 1-1 , can we simply defer and draft 2nd overall?

No way Clowney isn't ready by training camp. Absolutely no way. If he's not ready by then, he won't ever be ready to play in l this league.
