Too bad we have Watt, he won't let us tank. Wouldn't mind scrapping the year to try and get Mariota/Winston and reload for the future.

Anybody want to revise their guess in the "how many sacks will Clowney get" thread?

Not the end of the world.

    4-6 week recovery.

    Mario 2.0

That's not necessarily a bad thing

By then, we'll also have a clearer picture of the playoff picture, and whether or not it's a good idea to have Clowney play again, this season.

If he's recovered from the surgery, why hold him out?

They're not going to tank anything.

Best wishes for Clowney and his return, but this points out yet gain..and in brilliant colors... why Uncle Bob will hold this franchise back as long as he's calling the shots.

THIS is one of several reasons #1 should have been dealt....for quality quantity(especially in our situation...A massive blown opportunity)...AND to insulate us to a degree against this sort of deal.

Let B.O.B grow this his way.

He'll be fine. No need to really worry.

Do you have any actual knowledge of what, if anything, the Texans were offered for #1?

No? So how in the hell can you say that it was a mistake to decline such offers?

It's easy to say a team should've traded down, but you have no idea what was being offered and consequently are in no position to determine if it would've been worth it or not.

On top of that, you have no idea if McNair would've been making the call on that. Could've been Rick Smith. Could've been O'Brien. We don't really know. You're blaming somebody for a decision you can't possibly know if it was good or not when you don't even know if that person was responsible for that decision.

Mario had some good years here. Clowney can come back from this fine.

Sorry if this post wasn't knee jerk enough.

Even though it's not his fault, I can't help but be frustrated with clowney. It's always an injury with him. Groin, concussion, meniscus, etc. the guy is injury prone and he hasn't even played one game.
