Quit playing stupid high school and college games in the stadium. Is that so hard?

Um....those games are played on a Field Turf surface, not the grass. It is portable Field Turf that is installed and removed. Nice try though...

There are still less injuries on grass than Field Turf. There are less injuries on NRG's grass than most Field Turf fields.

um....grass fields are safer than field turf. FACT. The reason the Texans want to use grass fields.

This is absolutely true. One of the reasons why most (all?) major soccer teams in the world only play on grass.
Practice on turf though because its cleaner and easier to use in all conditions.

I for one practice with my team on turf and play our games on grass.

    Dude....

Clowney has certainly been injury prone the last few years, but it is a real stretch to call it a "wasted pick".

Making things up describe bill belichick. he blamed the field to deflect blame for his r****ded decision to have Welker on the field that late in the game. The patriots were playing for nothing in that game and it was the "genius" decision by bill to keep him out there.

It has obviously worked and cleared him of any blame, but bill remains untouchable of criticism anyways for some reason.

Well over the last 2 years he has either missed games or been limited in games with.....

    Gastroentenitis (1), muscle strain(1), bone spurs(1), torn meniscus(4-6), concussion(2)....

So in the last 20 possible games (including the 4 he will miss), he will have missed or have been severely limited in 9 of the games... or 45%.

Yeah it is fair to label him injury prone based on recent history.

Let's hope he turns it around.

Being "injury prone" is another way of saying that you are human. Injuries happen, especially when you play on a shoddy field with large seams that have a history of shredding knees. It's not like Clowney is Darryl Sharpton or anything.

Just get rid of the stupid trays of grass. There have been so many complaints over the years that there must be something to it. Put in field turf and be done with it.

i dont know if you noticed but NRG's grass is not your ordinary grass field.

it's garbage and clearly needs to be replaced.

Wasn't the same field...........That field was overlaid on the floor of the stadium. It wasn't the tray system.

My argument is prove to me that more players get injured at a higher rate on this field than any other field/surface.

Its far cheaper for them to go the field-turf route, so there has to be somebody on this team (players included) that are vouching for it.

Cushing was on today and said he's never had a problem with it... chances are, most of the long term Texans agree or else one of them would have spoken up. If its a career injury waiting to happen, they'd demand something better.

Probably because the players that play the majority of their games there say they'd rather play on this than your run-of-the-mill field turf that they play on in the practice bubble, along with more than half the other stadiums in the NFL.
