not a doctor also but nov 19 would be a great time for his return with some nice time after the bye week.
Not knee-jerk _ I just never thought that a #1 pick should be spent on a guy with a fast 40 time who only had 3 sacks... And apparently injury concerns. But that's just me... I'm sure AJ isn't going to play forever (at least not for the Texans)... But actually I thought the Texans should have drafted Blake, Sammy, maybe Robinson, or traded the pick. So I had 4 options and not just one like Bobby suggested. Guess we'll just have to wait to see if Clowney was worth it.
Why are you so fixated on 3 sacks? Have you seen the South Carolina defense without Clowney? It's night and day. You dont need sacks to be effective as a defensive lineman...that's football 101.
Did you see SC vs UCF last season when Blake was picking Clowney's SC defense apart...??? Clowney even had free run at Blake on a couple of plays and couldn't touch him. I believe Blake threw for over 400 yards that game.
Sure... its quite damning... but again, this could very well happen on "normal" fields that feature divets/sprinkler heads or field-turf fields with seams/etc. I want to see evidence that there are more injuries (and serious injuries) at Reliant vs. other stadiums. There certainly is more of an "issue" here (and more blame can be applied, after the fact) because of the known "unique" way they put the field together... but I'd expect that to be reflected in the apparent overall injury numbers.
It's a discussion board dude... Just because you don't agree with my opinion doesn't mean you have to act like you bleed like tmac and cry about what I post...
This kind of stadium should have a state of the art field. Astro turf isn't the solution though, its worse for the knees/ankles.
It's time to switch to field turf. Nowadays that stuff is state of the art. There have been enough incidents where injuries are attributable to the tray system they use now. Even though Bret Hartmann was a clown, his case against Harris County Convention & Sports is going to trial - it would have been thrown out at summary judgment if it was a BS case. Our own #1 pick may have very well been injured by it. The roof is almost always closed, no need for real grass. NFL may step in and demand the field turf for the 2017 Super Bowl anyway if the Texans don't do it themselves.
This was a throw away shot I took yesterday during the game. I didn't realize I had shot this and since Clowney wasn't in focus, the shot didn't get used, but I thought I'd share it anyway.
i don't think the roof was solely put it in to have natural grass. yes it was part of the equation but just a small part. put in turf (like jerry world) and the roof is still relevant for all of the other reasons. frankly i'm not sure why it hasn't been done already from a management perspective.
