Dwight haters? Some just thought Yao was a little better than him because Yao's back to the basket game was more refined. The only argument on this board was his position on Best Centers list. I don't think there was any Hate on this forum for Dwight.

I think Howard should go to OKC.

Miami can't afford him, and Howard probably isn't going to sign for the minimum, which, iirc, is the max Miami can offer.

Howard definitely needs a playmaker on his team though; a great PG like Nash or Paul would fit.

But I can see Howard going to OKC. The penetration by Westbrook, with Howard playing an inside-out game with RB or Durant = 3s for all.

Plus, like other posters have said, OKC's weakest position is the 5. Game over for the Western Conference if OKC lands Howard.

Actually some posters here still think Yao Ming is better because Yao always owned Dwight Howard 3 years ago.

Yeah even if some of those posters are bit misguided, I don't think that is classified as hate. It's like saying Kareem is better than Russell because Kareem had a better offensive game; Didn't matter who was better, they were still great players who were respected by their opposition. It's the same with Dwight and Yao. I don't think anyone here, even Yao fans, have called Dwight garbage.

They flipped the whole starting lineup pretty much, desperation move for a quick change, Dwight is the face of the Franchise, but I expect him to be out of there perhaps a contract year before trade deadline. Every GM has learned from last summers Free Agency, so trade them for something instead of nothing.

We only have the Hakeem card, so we need to bring in an all-star or catch Dwights eye with a winning roster that is just a C away.

    Let the future unfold....

    please please
    Orlando suck please

If teams fail to put decent players around there star players, players are smart enough to leave, and join a team with a better supporting cast.

Camelo is doing he same thing, joing a team that will help him win, and CP3 will be the next to do it.
Right now players know, that if you don't have a second star player on your team, you are not going to win anything. So if you don't have a star player on your team, you have no chance of getting one.

No player wants to end up like KG and waste 10 years on the same team, that had no chance to get a ring. KG even said that to Lebron.

This board is up there with Realgm, with the hate going on certain players, and that says a lot.
Racist comments, wishing injury's on players etc, it's pretty bad.

The Courtney Lee miss wasn't the choke job, the choke job was Game 4 where the Lakers came back and Fisher hit that shot. Howard is probably gone if this doesn't work out.

Courtney Lee indeed choked in Game 2. Jameer Nelson choked by not chasing Fisher off the 3-point line in game 4.

Howard's not going to OKC. They're gonna have a tough time resigning their own guys, let alone accommodate another max contract.

The similarities to the LeBron/Cleveland situation are interesting: turning the team upside down in an attempt to keep the superstar happy and the huge payroll that goes with it. All in the hope that *if* they can win a championship it *might* convice him to stay.

Will be interesting to see if this story has a different ending.

This Rockets team is built around having a dominant offensive/defensive center.

This team is tailor made for Dwight, and with Dwight and the Rockets together they would probably be a strong contender for the #1 seed (60+ games) every year.

Our defense would transform, and our offense would pretty much be unstoppable (picture a fast break: Lowry, Lee/T-Will, Hill/Scola, and Dwight Howard running at you)
