http://deadspin.com/c-j-mccollum-couldnt-play-because-of-a-clerical-error-1751556755 So CJ McCollum didn't play on Wednesday because of a clerical error... Blazers tried to correct it, but Clips found a loophole because... "Teams are allowed to resubmit corrected lineup sheets but must be done in presence of opposing team's coach and there was no Clipper present" Clips should be the most hated team in the league...
Shouldn't have made the clerical error. That's absolutely idiotic on Portland's part. Don't blame the Clippers for taking advantage of it.
Not dirty, but definitely funny. This is a pop-esque, "don't blame me, blame the rules" situation a la Hack-a-whoever.
Reminds me of the JLin offer sheet saga with the Knicks hiding as long as possible... maybe they were doing us a favor in hindsight...
its legal - apparently if McCollum played the clippers could have protested the outcome of the game (had they lost) apparently the clippers did the same thing themselves when they mistakenly left Danny Granger off the active list, but to them Granger was a 8 or 9th man off their bench not their second best player. While no reason why the Clippers shouldn't have beaten Portland even with CJ, its the NBA you take any advantage you can. Its Portland's fault to begin with though the Clippers were being a bit "douchey" if they purposefully made themselves not available to try to correct the issue. Its fine all these things the Clippers do it year after year, but it seems the Basketball Gods allow them to get away with it year after year UNTIL the playoffs starts thats when the Gods seem to take their revenge on the Clippers -- personally I am ok with that
reminds me of these same clips hiding deandre from cuban/mavs this past july. at the end of the day, doc is simply a little b****
These ****ing CLips cost me money that night on draftkings. Ihad CJ and I was doing pretty well and this guy earned a big fat zero points **** YOU CLIPPERS
