He doesn't know. But I do agree with him that Morey would trade Clint if the right package presented itself and it doesn't have to be Anthony Davis. Chris Paul's decline changes a lot for me. Before you were asking Capela to be a complimentary third piece behind two stars. Now you have 1 superstar and a complimentary guy in CP3. Time to spin straw into gold again RumplestiltsMorey
1. A better center than Capela 2. A very good player at a different position....if he were able to acquire a comparable center (DJ) by other means.
I would trade Clint if I thought we were close to winning a championship and could get over the hump by moving him. But at this point I don’t see how we are real contenders. Gordon by and large has had a poor year. CP3 is completely unreliable. And we have no real depth. So no. We need to be doing what we can to build around Harden and Capella because a championship or die mentality doesn’t match the reality of this team’s ability.
Sooo tempted to create a thread on why 'holic hates Clint... He would take Bynum today ahead of Clint.
Holic wants so desperately to get Capela off this team that his fevered mind is now inventing "trade talks" in which Morey is also trying to unload him. Morey might consider using Capela to bring in another superstar, but short of that, it's not going to happen. Clint's production-to-contract ratio is a stat Daryl isn't able to ignore.
@topfive your post-to-like ratio is the model of Clutchfans efficiency. Not anyone could do that even with that high usage rate despite what Shannon Sharpe says.
I would like to have seen capaela play through the broken finger. It was rumored that kobe Bryant won 2010 championship with a finger fracture!
Capela out till the 21st of Feb (post All Star break) per Feigen and it sounds like that's an optimistic date. Rough.
