Well that was fun. Hope the next time we call him up he actually does something positive.

I don't think anyone is overreacting. He's got potential and tools but he isn't going to contribute this year.

He wasn't able to participate in summer league or preseason due to injury. He has barely even had the opportunity to practice with the Rockets partially due to that as well. There is no simulation for the speed of the game. He needs court time against real NBA players in order for things to slow down and then you'll see his natural talent show through. He is just rushing everything right now. He'll be fine.

I thought his defense looked good for the most part and was much improved over the last time we saw him.

Yes, still not used to the speed. He shoulda had more PT, considering that's the only way he'll adapt.

I was hoping to see more of Capela, but we blew a 30 point lead…and y'all know the rest.

As a microcosm of his nerves, he has shot 61% in the valley. He's 0-8 in the NBA.

He looked really nervous once he gets that first bucket and makes a few nice plays those nerves will go away.

Capela has got to settled down. I haven't seen a rook this nervous in 30 years of watching NBA basketball. Like somebody said, once he is able to make a few plays, and bump that chest, he should be fine. Either that or take a Xanadu the size if my fist.

This could take a while so let's just be patient with the young fella.

He's 5-6 years away, IMHO. Look at Whiteside. Heck, Dream peaked in his early 30s.

You guys remember Yao and his debut?

Give Capella a bit of time he will be fine.

My point exactly! Yao looked way over his head and I was extremely nervous that we'd wasted the number one pick on him. He was flat out embarrassing. It took him several games to just look competent. Hence the ill fated Charles Barkley donkey kiss bet because he felt certain that Yao would never be a good player based on what he had seen. Big Yao turned into a stud. Some things you just can't learn on the bench. Look at DMo as well.

Is there really such a thing as a DOF ?! This is taking the (X)OF stuff to epically ignorant proportions.

If Capela is still here on Wednesday, he needs to take notes while watching Tyson Chandler. That's who he should be modeling his game after.

just shows you that doing in the NBDL and doing it in the NBA are two completely different things. Looked like a man amongst boys in the NBDL, looks like a little kid lost, in the NBA

Wonder how long in his career it took DMO to get over his nerves and to start showing what he really has LOL.
