    Tiago Splitter wasn't a project.

I like the fit. All we need from him is what Asik gave us off the bench. Solid D and good rebounding. His two best attributes. Other than him and Howard we have no defensive presence in the paint.

He weighs 222 pounds. Is this a problem?

    Pretty much.

Don't expect to see this guy at all unless injuries hit us hard or in the random game at the end of the season where the Rockets have the #1 seed locked up.

No, in fact it is probably a good thing. The guy is very lean and needs to add some muscle mass. If he can add 10lbs of muscle, should be very strong indeed.

Capela and his agents were so insistent that he be signed this year, that Morey probably just gave in. Probably pleaded he's a hardship case

Anyone that watches this video and sees anything but RGV is delusional.

Nah, we're putting him on a diet called "living in Texas." He'll be 250 in a year and 275 in two.

I can't wait to see him develop. He has crazy athleticism and is only 20 years old. Has improved every year so look forward to being pleasantly surprised.

He is Demarr Derozen without the shot. if he averages 8 pts in Europe, then expect 5-6 pts a game here.

Yes, he needs to spend the whole year there. The only thing he can do well is block shots, and he might be able to defend the pick and roll.
He is bad at everything else.

Sorry guys, I haven't seen the whole thread. Have management used part of the MLE to sign him? If yes, then how much of the MLE is left after signing him and Nick Johnson?

Tremendous athlete with great length. If he focuses on defense and rebounding =, he has the potential to help right away.

He has great length, but his motor is not high. In fact, it is considered to be low.
He is going to have a rude awakening to the NBA. Let's hope he will work hard and make progress.
