Rockets are setting themselves up to go on a 10 year run, where you quietly see Dwight ride off into the sunset and guys just end up stepping up with Harden being the center piece. Sort of like the Spurs did with Duncan and Robinson. Ironic that in a football town like Houston the baseball team and especially the basketball team are the only ones that come through. I'm sure if they brought NHL hockey to Houston they would win a championship within the first 5 years, see the Dynamo.
They guy will be a top 10 defensive center by playoffs. As was said last night by Calvin or one of the commentators. He will be in the 7 man rotation as Dwight's replacement and as we saw can play defensively at PF also. He is that good defensively and Dwight will be so rested. His amazingly fast development is a major development.
Yeah, I think one of the reasons Dwight seemed so chummy with the dude walking off the court last night was because he knew he was gonna get to sit out a lot of B2Bs this season given the way Capela is developing.
KLove is a defensive sieve, and LMA is the new franchise player for the Spurs. Dwight is the anchor of our defense, and a valuable scoring option.
A very bright spot, it appears that he has improved his free throw shooting, which some on this board seem to think that's impossible. I only wish D12 would show the same improvement. Clint "Eastwood" Capela is going to give backup center's fits.
this will be a great year for capela to emerge as a viable big man in this league! his physical build is perfect for the new wave of f/c

David Thorpe's opinion that Capela could be top 3-4 in his draft class. Capela is what we should call, A STEAL. Well done, Morey.
Does Howard has a great work ethic? Is this a legitimate question? If he does, then he could be a better offensive player or not.
Howard has a great work ethic. Just look at his body. Look at his rebounding. He just doesn't have the scoring gift, but I think he has worked hard on defense, and on offense, as well as his FT, it just didn't happen in all areas. Capela has some natural gifts on the pick and roll and shot blocking. He appears to be working very hard. Good results. We'll see where it takes him. I think everyone loves what he brings to the tablet and his potential. He's already changing games and personally, I think he was the reason outside of Harden that we got as far as we did in the playoffs.
