Melo just don't get the truth that he need Lin so hard.
Lin is a team player and will be truly willing to help melo
even at sacrifice his stats. It had been proven in Rockets,
Lin had no second thought even was assigned to become
bottom line spot up shooter, or stand up when team need it.

Lin can make tyson chandler, novak, jj, smith, ppat, asik, etc all
involved in the plays without hiding the glorious of harden.

Anyway, no matter how stupid the management NYKs is, they made
big profits. They don't care a sh_t about the winning champion at all.
It is just a bonus. They are simply merchants.

Classless, sure -- but mostly just delusional. It's like they have Stockholm or battered spouse syndrome with Dolan as the abuser.

NY caved into players like Melo I think. Melo, JR, etc couldn't deal with the fact that an undrafted, Asian kid that came out of nowhere came in and stole the show and was the fan favorite. Jealously, and egos got in the way and Melo probably b****ed non stop to management. Mgmt caved into him, also prob worried about how team would co exist if they kept Lin and players were bitter. Sucks for Melo and the Knicks tho cuz Lin will blossom into a star and he could've done it in NY. Could have shared the spotlight with Melo and the team would've been much better off. I'm happy tho, Lin is now on the Rockets and NY is already suffering the consequences. They're in a downward spiral and with how ancient they are in 2 yrs they will be in rebuilding mode.

Try to look at it from Melo's perspective: while Lebron and Bosh are off forming what will probably one of the best squads in NBA history, he has to play second fiddle to an undrafted Asian kid from Harvard.

Undrafted. Asian. Harvard. Which one of those was the worst?

    That's gotta have burned.

Yeah, Lin said that he still keeps in touch with Chandler. Plus, I think he showed up to Lin's foundation event.

Lin wasn't trying to get the best deal out there. Lin signed the ONLY deal out there.

The Knicks had two restricted free agents. They offered Steve Novak a $15 million contract which he accepted, but they failed to offer Lin any contract whatsoever and told him to go out there and find his value, even though Lin saved the Knick's season. Lin did everything the Knicks asked him to do. The Rockets made a verbal offer, and when the Knicks scoffed at that offer and said they would match any offer up to one billion, the Rockets called their bluff by putting in the poison pill. The whole entire time Lin only had ONE written contract in front of him while he was looking for work. The Knicks never even made an offer.

People have the tendency to re-imagine the objective facts of history in very self-serving and self-pitying ways.
