    Just thought of something...

It would be SO COOL if the 9th "seed" were involved in a three or four-way tiebreaker and OKC got bumped to 9th for worse record in multi-team tiebreakers...And ESPN would have to explain how tiebreakers work, that they didn't take care of business in the regular season when it mattered.

Maybe they focus on making sure they make the playoffs before making such statements...

Their playoff-run will last like the '95 Thunder-Sonics.

Does OKC have one clutch player ?

Rockets were injured the whole season 94/95 and got healthy right in time for the playoffs. They didn’t coast to their record on their laurels.

The Thunder have been healthy with this group for all intended purposes.

A Winning attitude isn’t a switch you can turn on at your discretion. You coast you roast....

Don't worry. The Thunder got this ...

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...state-warriors-let-oklahoma-city-thunder-beat

Kevin Durant, Warriors good enough to let Thunder beat themselves
    play

Russell Westbrook goes off for 44 points and 16 rebounds, but the Thunder fall at home to the Warriors 111-107 behind Kevin Durant's 34 points and 10 rebounds. (2:13)

OKLAHOMA CITY -- It wasn't an emphatic slam-the-door kind of crunch time for the Golden State Warriors, but it was an effective one. And really, a lot of it was kind of just letting the Oklahoma City Thunder do what they've done so often this season -- beat themselves.

Edit: deleted most of the article, just wanted the part where OKC beats themselves.

Eh, it was also that the Rockets traded for Clyde and accidentally discovered the benefits of small-ball in an era in which if you didn't have a true Center and a 6-10 PF on the court at all times you were considered undersized.

I'm thinking it wasn't an accident when Horry played.

It definitely wasn't an accident when they slid their starting small forward into Otis Thorpe's slot.

This is the young Robert Horry - back then we thought he was an answer to Scottie Pippen, not a stretch 4 PF - that concept didn't really exist back then.

True. Horry being on the perimeter instead of Thorpe in the middle with Dream was a big part. Rudy was all about spacing.

The Thunder not making the playoffs?

That slamming you hear is Paul George walking out the back door to never return.
