This feels like a Christian bashing movie. I'm not a Christian, but i find that stuff trite and cowardly. I'll still see it for Murray

Seems like he isn't even trying the past couple of years. I think he has pulled a Harrison Ford and just given up.

Really? Zombieland, Moonrise Kingdom. Even his short stint on Amazon's Alpha House was funny.

I find his more recent stuff funnier than much of his 90's. Overall, his work in the 2000's well-exceeds his stuff in the 90's with the exception of Groundhog Day and Rushmore.

Perhaps it was the transition from snarky lead to a disheveled supporting. I really like Bill Murray and when he puts in the effort he is hilarious.

Love Bill but - Grumpy old man has a heart of gold, teaches kids the ropes everyone heals each other - we've seen this story numerous times in many different skins. Hollywood is on repeat

I think in the 90's was when people would hire Bill Murray and say "just be Bill Murray" and would not give him any direction. He absolutely hates that - which is why he meshes with Wes Anderson so well. Anderson is very picky about the direction that his character takes, and Murray likes being directed. Since Murray made openly made these comments in relation to Wes Anderson, other directors have started taking this approach with him and its working in his favor.

Agree here, but Murray is the greatest comedic actor of our generation IMO.

I liked what he's done taking on some more deeper characters (Rushmore, Lost in Translation) so I'll probably see this just for him.

I haven't understood Murray's comeback for the fifteen years it's gone on and Naomi Watts is being misused here, but always happy for McCarthy. Glad to see her transitioning beyond physical comedy slob roles, which she never actually did before Mike & Molly or Bridesmaids, she could be a Kathy Bates five or ten years from now.

"I'm showing him how the world works. You work, you get paid, you drink."

Awesome. Tough to argue with that theory. :)

I'm still enthralled by Bill Murray's performance in "Meatballs". Loved him in that movie! Every time it's on and I come across it...I watch some of it just to see his character.

that was back when there were a lot of comedies that also had a good story and heart. I also watch "Meatballs" just about every time I see it on TV. Great great movie
