The ESPN commentators didn't give much information about Chuck and McGrady. Did the local commentators say anything about:

    1) Chuck's hyperextended knee
    2) McGrady was limping for a short time after a jumpshot in the second half (normally no one would care, but just wondering if it was the back)

    Thanks

Hayes will get evaluated when he returns to Houston. It looked ugly to me; I'd be surprised if doesn't miss at least a couple of weeks.

I heard a brief mention that McGrady was fine. He just came down on his ankle funny but he walked it off.

Crap. On top of that, he wont be the same for another two three weeks. The way Walker torched Howard, I really hate to see him playing extended minutes. Hope Novak has improved his entry pass and defense.

Hayes was the main reason our defense has been great so far. He closes out the lane well and helps Yao stay out of foul trouble.

Now Yao is exposed again to foul troubles with Hayes out. :(

Hayes will be missed while he's gone. His hustle has been fantastic and he is incredibly crafty around the basket. You can guarantee he'll have 4-6 put back points every game.

I'm hoping the silver lining is that Novak can get some PT and hit some open threes getting him into the rotation over howard.

Can't imagine that JVG will be able to keep him (Novak) on the bench if Chuckie misses any time. Somebody will have to get some of those minutes unless coach decides to use Shane as the backup 4 and split the 2 & 3 minutes between (3 players - TMac, Snyder & Head). He'll have different things he can do for a game or two...depending on matchups.

    1) Yao, Howard, Battier, Mac and Alston or

    2) Yao, Battier, Tmac, Snyder and Alston (lineup from Jazz game) - Battier and Yao will be able to inter-change on Duncan and Elston

I'm closing this thread. We already have a Hayes thread and you got your at least tentative TMac answer.
