well we'll see how hayes does today. I try not to judge a player by one game but it is promising. the block and the rebounding were quite impressive.

but the rockets got him cheap and its was a good gamble

best case scenario : the next otis thorpe
    worst case: anthony miller

some of it has been said, but he doesn't have the lateral quickness to keep up nba 3's, and he doesn't have the skill set offensively to play the 3. he going to have to be able to handle the ball some, and be able to consistently hit 13-18 foot jumpers. i haven't seen that from him.

he had a very nice game and i hope he keeps it up and become a nice backup PF for us. i'm not going to call him a ben wallace find yet because chuck hayes is going to have to get much stronger to be a full time starter at PF at just 6'6.

If we are serious about a playoff run this year, I'd take Harrington for Stro in a New York minute! We get to dump Stro and his contract and get a player we may want to keep. It would be better if Harrington's contract didn't expire after the season, but he's so much better than Stro it's worth it. Harrington as a starter and JH coming off the bench would be a significant PF upgrade from what we have now.

If Harrington blends in well with the Tracy/Yao/JVG troika, hopefully both sides could agree on a long term year contract.

There is no doubt that Al Harrington is better than Stromile but I think it's possibly too late to get into the playoffs because of the injuries to T-Mac and Yao. I fear that Harrington might leave if Yao and T-Mac aren't at their best for the rest of the season. I think Swift plus our first pick might be good enough for the Hawks but we might end up with having nothing at the end.

Its official, I'm on the Chuck Hayes Bandwagon.
I love Luther Head, Chuck Hayes, and John Lucas III.
    CD did it again!!!
    What Draft!?!?!?!

Did you see how fast JLIII took off for the open layup???
Chuck Hayes is the solution to any rebounding problem we might have had.

These 3 give the Rockets a very promising future.
Their hustle and fire is what we are sorely missing with our old and injured line up.
    KEEP THEM AROUND!!!

Swift may not have position in this team while coming back.

Yeah I get the feeling that at this rate, Stro's gonna have to fight for his minutes. A couple of highlight dunks ain't gonna cut it.

Wurd. Hayes could wind up being the poster child for the D-League's upside: specifically, giving players with more promise than skill some playing time to work on their game.

Man, my boy came through in tonight's game!

    7 points
    12 rebounds

JVG, give him some more playing time!!! We need that toughness inside to bang those boards!

I'm not sure how long pink eye really lasts, but usually when players are being shopped they always have strange injuries. Not sure if that is the case for Stro or not.

They need to ink him for 4 more years for cheap now. Otherwise, if he keeps up this double-digit rebounding onslaugh, he might demand the max when the season is over...

To be fair, he did say "cheap." :D

But seriously, there's no reason to sign Chuck Hayes to jack **** just yet.
