Management has put a contender on the floor. Hayes hardly played and is overweight, Harrell is 2nd rounder who hasn't played a single minute and proved **** in a real NBA game.
Morey "We are always constantly looking to upgrade the team" We still aren't favorites to win, we still have the Warriors, Spurs, possibly Thunder ahead of us, even the Clippers are amped up, the West is as strong as ever. Lets not forget if we ever even reach the finals we will have Lebron, Irving, Love and the rest of the Cavs jacked roster just waiting for us. What happens if someone like Horford becomes available mid season, and because of our cap issues, we can't trade for him or have to over pay in a trade due to matching up contracts? Keeping flexibility will always be a smart thing to do until we are absolute favorites to win it all, which we are far from. We are barely favorites to be a top 5 team this year.
Under the current conditions, the writing on the wall was the Terry signing. Could only afford one of the two vets to maintain flexibility AND keep an asset like Montrezl. There is still time to sign Chuck or someone like him should Morey make a small trade, or two.
The only real similarity in their games is the put back/alleyoop dunks. Otherwise they are different cats. With his 7'4" wingspan and quick feet, Montrezl has a much higher ceiling as a defender. Faried might be the better rebounder, but I don't think Montrezl is weak there. On offense, Faried really only does one thing...dunk. Harrell has already flashed some range. His stroke is NOT broken....he just needs reps.
Who are you people? We are trying to win a championship and we still talking about how we need to maintain flexibility. When do you go for the kill? I'm tired of this coward theme. The west is tough, we need a a few more upgrades.
What makes you think Harrell isn't already at the table? I think its the opposite. He's waiting for Morey..
