with another roster spot open, a lotta heads will be turning to bonzi coming off the bench and killing the spurs. since he is our "ginobili eater"

...more like just a man eater cause he's so fat now. ugh.

Seriously hope Bonzi will work his ass off now, he's overdue. JVG should play him simply because he's (honestly speaking) our third or fourth best talent on the team.

Good news IMO. At least its not a tear or season ending injury. WHEW!!!

We will miss his energy and hustle for sure and I don't think that JHoward can equal that. The two things we will miss from Chuck is his ability to move well without the ball and knack for rebounding. He always seems to know when to make a move to the basket and where the right position is for the rebound. JHo will most likely be the starter unless JVG decides to put another guard on the floor and move Battier to the PF spot.

On the bright side Novak might see some action during this time in certain matchups or when we have to rest a player.

I think we will be fine, especailly if Yao keeps up his high level of play.

:) This is good news IMO. I though for sure there would be ligament damage and that could potentially end your career. Can't wait to see him back on the floor in 2 weeks.

Yeah I guess will be seeing Novak coming off bench now. I hope he does great so JVG can put him on the rotation.

Don't be surprised if Scott Padgett gets the court time instead.

Darn... I guess he won't be traveling to Detroit on Saturday then!

So glad that nothing was torn or broken! Hopefully he will get the ok from the Doc to come back after that first two weeks.

if only two weeks, we should be ok. The next week schedule should be easy.

Just reported he will be out for two weeks. Good news IMO as it means there is no structural damage.

It's sad but looking at the brighter side, Supernova could be a possibility.

I think that if JVG allows Bonzi to play, he could be a 6'5" PF for us.

JVG needs to get Bonzi in the rotation, Bonz can rebound, I dont buy his propaganda about its on him for pushing Bonzi too hard. He's in JVGs doghouse pure and simple, player tells u he's ready, play him.

We can roughly estimate that Hayes misses about 10-12 games before being back to form. This will give Juwan, Novak, and Padgett some extended playing time ealry in the season to help them develop a rhythm.

Also, it may allow us to try Battier at 4 to see if it works in spurts.

Lastly I think it should expedite the culmination of the Bonzi Wells saga; I believe Wells will try to work his way back to contribute before Hayes makes his return.

I would also like to see the rest of the rockets rotation work on securing extra possessions for the team; Chuck is a strong contributor in this regard and it'll be interesting to see if a couple of guys step up in this area (hustle) while our junkyard dog is out...

JHo better not be the starter. That dog don't hunt. JVG knows it. Snyder becomes your starter and hopefully Bonzi pulls his out of that half gallon if Blue Bell long enough to give us some minutes....hopefully. You can always hope.

If JVG starts JHo alongside Yao, then he is not as smart as I am giving him credit for.
